Amazing stuff. You **** up a second time trying to sort an original **** up. What a company. I assume by the bogus response in the email that they are quoting the get out of jail clause and hoping nobody questions them.
I am awaiting a call back from sandyford. I won’t be taking an easy no from them. The reason given in the email just doesn’t make sense.
I was chatting with Eddy for about 15min asking him to request someone from Ireland to give me a call, he kept insisting all UK staff are fully trained and aware of all the cancelled order issues.. mmhmm
The guy I spoke with had zero clue. Just said he knows there have been calls all day about it but they don’t have a clue what people are talking about so just pushing me back to William in sandyford. Poor William will have a long evening ahead of him ringing people.😆
I feel like saying a decade of the rosary for the Tesla staff at this stage - they surely need some form of divine help to just do their bloody job!

The order is indeed reinstated in the app, but without a VIN attached 🤦♂️
Still no email 😬 but I know it’s coming. I originally ordered a M3 and on the Monday when all the MY were added at full price I took one of them and was happy to pay the price. Then I cancelled the M3 on the Tuesday morning there was no flash sale even at that stage. Then Wednesday I got one in the flash sale and have paid for that in full so if them two cars are fully cancelled I’ll end up with no new car still have not receive the refund yet for the M3 told 14-28 days.
Now I’m lucky enough as I have 201 electric car that I was keeping anyway but I do feel for others that have been left in a sh*t situation by Tesla bad form altogether from them.
Is your a normal order with price adjustment or not?

Straight to the back of the queue due to their f*ck up! What a company.
Id spent the last few months convincing older family members that BMW/Merc etc. were history with the new price drops. Safe to say I’m getting some slagging now…
Great day for all the traditional car manufacturers.
No price adjustment, just a regular, full-price order a day or two before the "flash sale".
This just takes the biscuit altogether! They should have sucked it up and honoured the price discount. It wasn't even that much. Some mess.
Is the EDD the generic April-June for the reinstated one?
Haven’t posted here before. Ordered a white RWD on 6th March, with delivery May-June. Grabbed same spec in ‘fire sale’ after speaking to Tesla. The girl in Tesla went off and checked with her ‘supervisor/manager and confirmed availability, so I took it. Within minutes I had the VIN in my account. Paid €20k so far. Fingers crossed.
Still 19 April - 4 May.
He never had the discount. He ordered before the sale.
If it's a discounted one, it will be cancelled and you will get the email from Kelly.
Assuming she cancels the right order that is.
There are a few others who have fully paid up for the discounted cars and have also been cancelled.
Unfortunately this will be cancelled. We are all just waiting on the email to confirm.
In fairness he only ordered last week so I’d imagine there’s not much of a que to be at the back of?
I know, which makes it worse. Genuine order at full price, cancelled because of an unrelated discount a day or two later.
Even so I'd feel a lot better if the VIN had been reinstated along with the order.

this is working out better than Tesla could have imagined. Nobody giving any resistance despite the wrong orders being cancelled. Everyone just accepting the mess. I’d say they are delighted they didn’t just give the discounts away now.
the next issue could be any delays to the April 19-may04 date range. Let’s see what happens there but fingers crossed they can manage that ok.
19th is just over 2 weeks away. Surely they would be starting to arrange delivery times?
Hard to give any resistance when you can't talk to anyone in Sandy Ford over the phone 🙂.
If anyone lives nearby and is willing to go in an speak to them personally, I would like to know why people are not being given any option to secure the cars they have ordered (even if at a different price).
Some of those cars will go back onto the site at some stage and be bought by someone else.
As for the long range models over the grant, they may just sit in stock for a while!
People will resist but it’ll be futile.
The fact the cancellation email says the discounted cars were listed as ‘showroom/ex demos’ which is just an outright lie, as everyone on here can attest (they were clearly showing as new cars, ‘coming soon’), shows the lack of respect they have for customers.
Barely even an apology to go along with the lie.
If the CPCC were worth a damn they’d haul them over the coals for this.
Because they know if they don’t cancel the orders people will hold onto 2 cars until the last second meaning they won’t be able to sell them for full whack at a time when supply is lower than demnd
What can we do it’s a price error and by law they don’t have to sell it to you.
They can only do something if enough of us highlight the fact.
I know traditional car dealers are chancers but for a Tesla employee to say to somebody face to face it’s your fault you cancelled the car is a sign of the company you’re dealing with. Zero empathy for a problem they created.
I’ll keep you posted if or when it gets cancelled. It will be interesting to see if they reinstate my original order of the 6th March.
You've only really two options, take a complaint to CCPC or accept that under the terms of the order agreement the contract is subject to cancellation. It's not great either way. This is one of the negatives of a no dealer approach. You can't take your business down the road if you experience poor customer service.
