RTE's new 8 episode gangland drama with an all star cast.
AMC start date is September 9th I can't see a start date for RTE just a coming soon.
That was Amanda wasn’t it? Almost as scummy given it's his daughter in law. I'm guessing Michael will kill him because he'll do something to Anna, or try to.
Spot on there about the casting, I only said to my partner last night the Michael was like something out of a board bia add.
It's grim. When he stuck his hands down his jocks in front of her I nearly got sick. Digusting character.
Could he be Bren and Birdy's son?
I'd like for Bren's ex wife and daughter to be introduced
Amanda has it bad for Michael
You’d assume there’s a couple of clues to forthcoming stories there…
She's black but couldn't include her as they had already reached their quota of black people 🤪
Strange that Mikey and Jimmy's mam is on the family tree but there's no sign of vikings mam on it.
Definitely improving every week.
Bren has definitely added an edge to it.
Dare I say looking forward to next week's installment.
Must say I really enjoyed season 1, and am enjoying season 2 so far too.
Handy. I've downloaded that 👍
Birdie is Brens sister.
There has been subtle pointers that he sexually abuses/abused her in the past.
He's very controlling of her anyway.
Family tree
Enjoyed the 1st series of Kin and so far the 2nd series is really good.
Is birdie brens brother or brother in law? Something a bit odd there, kin is 100 times better this year with Bren in it he’s the only one believable as a gangland criminal, the rest are like the cast of emmerdale, that emmet scanlon is cat as is Aidan gillen and Amanda is like she belongs in fair city, and Michael is like something out of a Kerrygold ad, Viking is very believable as a scummer too, it’s very good this year, they seem to have the casting right but probably over representing the black community as each faction has at least one black person but there are no Eastern Europeans at all which is strange
And you have a problem with that?
Mod: drop the topic about black "quotas". This is a tedious topic trotted out ad nauseum.
It's a fictional TV show set within a now diverse city. Deal with it or don't, but the thread doesn't benefit from yet another irrelevant fixation about skin colour on an Irish TV show.
That was a very good episode last night. It reminded me a lot of love/hate, with the gangland funeral and revenge hit, l/h even had a lad accidentally shooting himself in the head in season 1. That’s ok tho, the more violence and tension the better. This show is so much better without Ciaran Hinds, he was just annoying in season 1.
Did I say there shouldn't or just pointing out there clearly is .....what is wrong with pointing that out
In your opinion ............they're like arseholes as the saying goes
you obviously have an agenda to come armed with those stats about the black population, whats that's got to do with talking about a tv show, I posted 2 other inaccuracies before I said anything about actors yet you say that's all I had to complain about .......you're on your own spin
A highly unoriginal post got a highly unoriginal response.
So just to be clear, are you saying that there shouldn’t be any quota for black actors?
You're being blatantly obtuse. You know what you're doing. Every single week there's someone on here whinging and moaning about the black actors on the show. why? what's the necessity? Shouldn't we be glad there is more representation? Instead of distastefully commenting about how they're filling the "black quota." It's just so pathetic and saddening.
Doubt it. It seems he only has eyes for Amanda.
Even though the turks wanted Michael dead I reckon Michael will end up bedding the female character
Of all the things? I pointed out 2 other flaws in 2 other posts I saw with the show before I made any other comment ........but then again the internet is awash with people looking to be offended on behalf of, what can you do it's the way it is
It's blatant quota filling, you know it and I know it ....you just find it offensive for it to be pointed out , what isn't offensive is pointing out just about every other character is an unrealistic portrayal of that world .....that can be said till the cows come home it's not deemed offensive
Seems like you are mate. Of all things to complain about, you choose to talk about black actors. While the black population in Ireland is quite small, they still account for like 2% of the entire population (~40,000 people). Where do you think all these people live? In Narnia? These are real Irish people. So what's the issue in showing them?
If you think you called me out with a highly unoriginal post then so be it
You brought it up, don’t be surprised if others call you out.
And down the rabbit hole we go .....and round and round probably too ....
What should the quota of black people be?
Not worried more critiquing .....much like you are of me
