RTE's new 8 episode gangland drama with an all star cast.
AMC start date is September 9th I can't see a start date for RTE just a coming soon.
It’s made up mate. Stop worrying about it
Can't say I am no....but a crime show about Dublin underworld not Detroit, I'm clearly missing something though obviously
I still reckon the music is a bit OTT but this S2 is far ahead of S1. It's really good and we really enjoy it in our house.
Any idea of the filming locations? The crèche looked like one of the big houses at Raglan Road or Clyde Road.
Where was the park where Bren met Anna?
Just stop it.
very enjoyable episode IMO. Still in the set up stage but bringing the cops into it makes a lot of sense.
what's with the incessant need to complain about black actors ffs. Are yous scared of black people or something?
Got their quota of black people up too.....new black lad out on hit, black Garda in the pub and random black face pinned to the crime wall
Shane Casey is the actor playing the detective building a case against the Kinsellas

It's a known thing when you're making something for TV
*Hard hitting line with some emotive music along with a drone shot*
It ropes people in
Definitely the weakest episode of the season. They're relying on the overdramatic music way too much.
Looks like it, ballistic security glass doesn't typically behave like that though, especially with a 9mm round.
How did he end up killing himself ?, bullet ricocheted?
This episode gone back to following the lines of season 1....just too many unbelievable characters apart from Bren who's a realistic Dublin scumbag, even the fallen drug Kingpin's family were very 'nice' .....it's an awfully watered down version of that life
Interesting to see the wind taken out of Bren's sails by Michael threatening him with a pistol 🤣
Was he whacked by a wacko named Whacker?
Or by a handbag named Frank.
Patook is more of an Indian name than Turkish.
Youd have to wonder what parole board seen fit to release Bren 🤣 Was judge Martin Nolan on it?
There seems to be an over reliance on music to try and add tension.
They're there.....they're just undercover so you can't see them.
'Everyone knows they owe a massive debt'
and not a Garda surveillance in sight! might as well be selling their stash of drugs on Donedeal the way they're going around trying to flog it
It would be some trick if he did turn up. He’s dead.
Never seen that, nuts.
Is he out these days?
Another headbanger from L/H that I expect to turn up in this is the character who plays Noely Hughes, he went all out to clip Fran a few times. He has that same nasty style as Bren, so I hope to see him in a cameo on this. Incidentally Peter Coonan is apparently in Peaky Blinders, does he play a similar character.
Funny I assumed when I posted above that there was another full season to watch.
But seriously, for me at least, what a transformation with Season 2. Improvements in every way and episode two had me wanting me. Characters were more engaging, although some are still a bit laughable unfortunately. The soundtrack was serving it well. Great to see. Not perfect but great to see the improvements. I'll be sticking with it.
I'm not so sure about them not looking like gangsters, I mean John Gilligan is 5 foot nothing and if a person didn't know who he was he would be just another face in the crowd.
Can’t take this seriously
the big players don’t look or act like this have a look at last weeks Sunday crime papers to see what they really look like
the father Viking /Yeti would be laughed at in the real world
Eight
How many episodes are there in this season?
I watch Season 2 Episode 1 last night and it felt like a step up.
Cheers
