There really isn't a lot to service tbh, there is no engine and the battery should last you a couple of more seasons. I give mine a good brush, change the blades a couple of times a year and thats it.

My vision fence arrived today. So far I've only been able to test its obstacle avoidance (i.e. my legs), and that worked perfectly. Will keep an eye on how it performs around trees, the clothes line pole, and the weaker GPS signal spot (under a tree with a big canopy) over the next few days.

I've been watching the Landroid M700+ WR167E on amazon.de for a while. It's been hovering around €790-795 for a few weeks, but today it's down to €672.75 before shipping (via a third party to Ireland).

It sounds like the Amazon UK spring sale deals run until tomorrow Wednesday but I'm not sure about Amazon Germany.

Been lurking here debating a Landroid purchase and might execute now with this amazon deal. What forward shipper have people used here for german amazon purchases?

I'm following all the Navimow talk with interest. Does anyone know what the story is with 4G? Are we going to be stuck paying e20/30 per month for a Vodafone data package once the free year runs out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,126 ✭✭✭Mr Q

Not for Amazon purchases but I have used mailboxde several times without any issues.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Redlim

Think it's something like €29 for the year. The 2023 models come with both 4G and WiFi built in, so there may be no need to renew the 4G after it expires as long as the mowing area has WiFi signal. Best to double check that with the sellers though. One thing to note is that it might be safer to keep the 4G active for the anti-theft location feature.

Where does everyone get blades for their Husqvarna? Any rate the endurance blades?

I've been researching the navimow and unless they haven't updated their website, only the H500E uses wifi, the others are all using 4G connectivity only.

Also would like clarity on this...buying at the moment

Thanks! I went with mailboxde in the end. Getting the Landroid WR153E for 1500m2. Seems to be similar to the 2000m2 model but with different battery ampage and longer boundary wire in box. (Area its needed for is only about 1200m2)

With the money I'm saving, going to invest in a Worx grass trimmer also to do the fiddly bits. Anyone have any feedback on their performance?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Redlim

In the latest manual that you can download from the website it says the 800, 1500 and 3000 models use both WiFi and cellular data networks, and you can switch between the two.

It also mentions this is possible only for mowers built after week 39 2022 so any bought this year will have both. Mine unfortunately only has 4G as I bought it last year - but the 4G works perfect anyway.

I have the strimmer. It's only a single string job so it's literally only good enough for grass. However the charger will work for the landroid battery too so that's handy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 210 ✭✭theaaao

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah will only be using it for grass and boundary edging.

I used shipgerman.com this time, after seeing a few positive mentions here on Boards, but it's my first time using a forward shipper from Germany.

Here is the link to the manual for anyone that's interested. Searching the naivmow help site for it didn't work out very well, but google found it for me. https://navimow.segway.com/PDF/UserManual.pdf

I hope the stock that is available to order now is after week 39 and has both wifi and 4g onboard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Redlim

It should almost certainly be the new stock being sold as everything sold out last year.

You can ask the seller to check the serial number on the boxes they have in stock. This should indicate the week. Also there's a month/year on the box, e.g. 12/22.

If I buy a Landroid from Amazon.de do you just need to cut the continental plug off it and wire on a 3 Pin??

    Will this suffice? Thanks

How long is the power cable on the navimow? Doing some prep work

    It's 10 metres

Editing to add that the GPS antenna cable is pretty short as it's designed to be put on the stake right next to the base station. If you want to place the antenna on a wall or roof instead for a better sky view then you'd need the extension kit. This gives you an extra 10 metres of cable to work with as well as a mount for attaching the antenna to a wall/chimney etc. You can add one extra extension to the antenna cable which would give you up to 20 meters to work with.

Yeah based in cork the first 6 months broke my heart with my ambrogio. Between google this thread (some very helpful people her) and mower magic uk. I managed to iron out the problems that and buying parts direct from Doyle’s in Kilkenny. Time back I’d have got a high spec mulching walk behind. I’d have had 2 hrs to myself every week away from the family.

navimow; can you have multiple channels arriving at base station?

could base station be in garage or beside it basically, with channel going to back lawn and channel to front lawn from there?

    😎

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Redlim

You can't place the base station in the garage but you could place it 2 metres away from it. Not sure what type of surface you intend to mount the base and antenna on, but you can definitely have them outside the lawn boundary. According to the manual:

"The charging station and the GNSS antenna can be installed inside or outside the work area. If the charging station is outside the work area, a channel towards the nearest boundary will be automatically set once the map is completed. The mower will return to the charging station using this channel. This channel cannot be edited or deleted."

If that works for you then the rest should be fine as you can draw channels to the other lawns. You may have to draw those channels from one lawn section to another rather than directly to the base though.

How's it going with the vision fence? Very close to ordering from here €100 extra for the Vision fence so €1.880 delivered. Can't see Vision fence listed on any of the Irish sites.

Tempting to save money with a Worx but the wireless installation hopefully is worth it. Should let me be able to navigate to one of the sections at the front which would be to tricky to run guide wires to. Hoping to do an extension too in next year so would have to relay them then also.

All going fine so far with the vision fence. I do need to do a small bit of adjustment to my map as I should now be able to go a little closer to the kerb since it can now see that it's near the edge. In one spot directly under a big tree where the signal isn't great I was a bit more cautious with going too close up till now.

I bought mine from Robocleaners and had no issues with them but might be better if you can buy locally in case you've any warranty issues to deal with.

See Douglas have the fence now but it's €180 extra so ends up being €200 dearer which is a nice bit. I'm already stretching a bit so tempted to just take the risk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Redlim

Ah ok that's fair enough. Delivery was around a week from Robocleaners for me.

I see on the Navimow Facebook group today they've given a preview of some new features they're releasing shortly where you can create schedules for separate sections of lawn, set it to mow one specific section as a once off, and set different mowing heights for each section also.

I'd be interested in hearing how others have managed the 2 ping plug when buying from the continent. I've an outdoor plag that I'll be using and wonder have others bought a 3 pin transformer seperately or install a 3 pin plug onto the one that came with the mower.

    Cheers!

I am just dealing the same issue myself. Can't use an adaptor as it won't fit inside the waterproof outdoor socket, so I'll just have to cut off the EU 2-pin plug and wire up a standard 3-pin plug.
