I dunno WTF Tesla are up to. All I know is that I'm paying chunks of 10k off the amount due on the order agreement of the fire sale car. I'll continue until I've reached the amount due.
I've had no contact from Tesla and the order page is asking me to pay the amount due. When fully paid I will expect a car to be ready to collect between April 19th and May 4th.
Someone needs to tweet Elon directly, seriously
Will you still buy if it goes up 10K?
Did you cancel previous orders ?
100%. I’d nearly create a twitter account just to do it
Guess it's time they all learn about supply and demand.😳
I never tweet (twit?) but I sent one now because... why not!
Not at nearly €63k. As nice as they are, I don't think the inductions and the white interior are worth €9k!
If that car goes back into general stock, it will be a tough sell while the grant is in play.
I still have an order in for a basic white LR @54k which I would take, if they can provide one for me 😜
I did send an email to customer support about cancelling the original order but no reply yet
Tesla Motors Ireland had a profit of 462k in 2021. Putting myself in their shoes I'd do all it takes to get out of the binder. There will be some bruises from both sides, like alienating some 80+ potential customers, firing some employees with poor computer skills but giving out a whole year profit in a firesale is quite hard to swallow.
The whole price error thing is made increasingly odd by fact that at least 1 member of this board successfully paid for and received an LR with inductions discounted below the grant weeks ago.
I was refreshing the page waiting for the discount to happen for a week, posted several times that it would happen…and so it did.
What are the chances you’d correctly predict a one off pricing error…
Drop the lotto numbers lad, cheers
Share it here so more ppl can reply and mention him ;)
The other side to it is the very cars on sale here were most likely on sale in the uk sitting around in the car park unsold since Jan.

As did I 😉 https://twitter.com/prof_trebor/status/1641833565691301892?s=46&t=WISM1vo6uMNDi7fuBDF48w
I am in a similar situation here, there were two identical cars available with white interior and inductions, I got the other one. I still have my old order, but really my whole trust in Tesla is fading away.. was already frustrated with the lack of communication and mixed messages about delivery about a month ago, where it was obvious to me there's no way I'll be getting my car in March but the website and sales reps kept saying it will be coming in March. Now this... How can I expect them to magically behave differently once I have my car? Really torn right now, starting to lean towards giving up on Tesla... Which is a shame, was really excited
vs alienating the 1300-odd customers since October who waited until 2nd half of March to collect their cars in good faith?
Liked and shared 😉
Who happily accepted the February 2023 price reduction at the risk of alienating the thousands of customers who picked up a 3/Y in 2022? Time to climb down off that high horse of yours before you fall and hurt yourself.
Purchased a MY LR with induction during the sale. Had another on order too and I even went to the effort of speaking with them on the phone and web chat before cancelling my original order. I was advised all was fine and the price would be honoured. Pretty poor how Tesla have dealt with this.
The big problem now is this price will be above grant level and nothing to fall back on.
3 “pricing errors”
The first one that Mun1 got his LR in.
The second one late night this week.
the third one the following morning.
Again, all the scathing attacks on Tesla as a company and yet not one persona has officially been stripped of their discounted car. Innocent until proven guilt guys.
I hope you guys get the discounted cars.
Unlike traditional car dealers, they're not on commission.
Got a phone call to say my fire sale price was cancelled and have went ahead with the full price.
I think it is getting cancelled as a result of all the people who didn’t get one complaining about paying the full price only a few days earlier.
No chance he'll read that without a blue tick :)
I’ve 1700km up on mine, so they’re not getting it back now :)
hahah absolutely. Into the void it goes
...
Nice, hope you are enjoying it!
Any initial review of it? Anything better or worse than expected?
+1!!
Demand has far outweighed supply over the past couple of months, so Tesla was in no need to flood the market with discounted cars in order to shift them. One point I can understand is that they always want to increase deliveries towards the end of quarters, but that would only be to get rid of the cars that arrived here in March which had not been sold yet. And the car @mun1 got was probably one of these, and were discounted to sell so they did not have unsold stock at the end of today.
Given the huge demand for Teslas after the significant price drop in January, they would be foolish to "give away" money through a sale of this proportion.
I completely get the frustration, but as several have already pointed out, there is a condition in the purchase agreement that they can cancel orders due to pricing errors.
And given that a number of people cancelled their initial order to jump on the discounted ones, I get that frustration as well.
Sorry everyone, if it is too good to be true, it probably isn't.
The only counter to this is - all those LR cars bought in the fire sale were slightly above the grant.
If they re-advertise with no discount there will be literally 0 demand for them save for business purchasers. So they will sit in the inventory indefinitely, as they were sitting on inventory before the sale. What lunatic is going to pay €6k for a tow hitch that can be added after sale for €1k…
The discount was absolutely necessary to shift those cars - although if being savvy they would have reduced all to €59,999.
Absolutely brilliant car, probably the best i have ever had, everything works as it should, no rattles or squeaks , auto wipers and lights work great, very solid on the road, interior comfort very good, about 20% more efficient than my Audi Q4,especially on motorways.
and the acceleration 👀
