@MarkN cc'ing Mark as a motoring jourlilest here, Tesla should experience a but of pain on this from a PR perspective outside this limited group
That makes no sense as we know that the delivery time frame was 19th April - 11th May
VRT is based on Open Market Selling Price "OMSP" .....not car price. This amount will be indicated on your Order Agreement (bottom left) and will exceed 50K
Wow.. I’m shocked. This will be an absolute mess to sort out.
I was also told in store that the firesale was a pricing error. I thought he was just saying that as initially he thought i was a pissed off customer complaining that i had missed a car in the firesale (when I'd actually gotten one).
I also cancelled the other MY i had on order this morning. Definitely regretting that!!
The same price reductions were on the Tesla uk site a week before this too. I call bullshit from that person who started that rumour.
Well this is some grade A bulls....
If it happens it happens. The same way those who got lucky in the firesale told order holders who missed out to be happy with the deal they had, the lucky ones now have to accept that maybe they didn't get lucky. Unless they have since cancelled their Apr-Jun orders. That's where things get messy and becomes a sh1tshow.
I'm asking on live chat... I'll let ye know
Exactly, they might be better taking the 10% hit for those 50 or so cars that would most likely be fulfilled rather than trying to get those who have cancelled original orders to re-order again or be reallocated their original orders.
There's also the risk that some of those customers lose faith and don't go through with any order at all 🤔🤷♂️
I reckon it’s a pi$$ take, it wasn’t as if the price was incorrect, there was a deliberate “price adjustment” on the order agreement.
I have ordered a basic Tesla Model Y RWD with the following price details below. I have a question about the VRT and the lack of VRT Relief. According to revenue there is VRT Relief on EV of 5000 euro up to cars costing 40000 euro, this relief reduces between 40000 and 49999. There no relief on cars over 50000.
VRT on EV is calculated at 7% of the Car Price in my case 47970, which works out as 3357 Euro and not 3536 as below which is for a car over 50514.
Then they add the VRT and tire fee to the car price which 51,519.78 Minus the SEAI grant of 5000 = 46269.78
So the problem I have is:
If you google Revenue VRT Relief you will see this.
What are your thought or experience on this, when you have to pay does the price reflect exact VRT or what's on this website. If you think I am onto something, have you an email address I can send my query to that will actually be responded to. Thanks.
Considering the sale is still running in the uk you'd wonder about a few going in a flash sale here!
Be nobody answering phones today😂
If it is true, Telsa will probably face some complicated cases as some people have already cancelled their original orders after they grabbed deals from fire sale? Not sure how Tesla could resolve that easily.
50/50
Technically Tesla can cancel them alright. The same way a buyer can cancel up to the last second so i suppose that courtesy extends to both parties.
You think it's a p**s take then?
It’s the same poster across all threads.
He forget march has 31 days.
More than likely someone messed up their April fools day...
The can certainly cancel alright, that said I'd be really surprised if it's true.
They say following:
Finally, we may cancel your order if we determine that there was a pricing error, discontinue a product, [CUT] In case of cancellation, you understand that you are no longer entitled to delivery of your Vehicle or an alternative Vehicle.
haha they can call but I'm not just going to say "ok Tesla people, sorry about that"
I got a MY last week but, man, it does seem as though Tesla administration is an absolute clusterfûck! The amount of time they must spend chasing up errors and problems that are their own fault must be enormous.
Fight that one folks - I don’t think they can do that - acceptance of the offer is a contract- no?
you might get a call today!
OMG😳Is this true?
Thats what I did and while I'm happy I got the car and will have it in 2-3 weeks I still think its unfair to those who ordered in Jan and have no date nailed down that people can swoop and get it.
Just happened to refresh inventory to check something and all these cars appeared!
I ordered early March originally with the Apr-Jun dates but with firesale I skipped all that. Weird how they do it
😮OMG!
Quick update on flash sale:
Seems as though there is bad news circulating about errors re "fire sale". As reported on Model Y Boards thread.....
Anyone have hassle with their trade in post collection? Picked up my MY last week, leaving behind my ID4. Got a text then last night reminding me sign trade in documents which were supposedly sent by email..... except I got nothing! Nothing said to me on the day either. Finance not cleared on it yet so bit of a live question!
