Am I right in thinking that neither Cavan or Fermanagh qualify for the All Ireland series as the places are taken by Westmeath as Tailteann Cup holders and London/Leitrim/Sligo as provinical finalists?

Ulster GAA TV showed the Monaghan/Armagh game so i presume it will be on it again.

That's a real sickener. We kicked that one away. I lost count of how many wides. Credit to Monaghan they kept plugging away but we should have had that game dead and buried.
I don't think we deserved anything from that game, the decision making and shot execution at vital times was atrocious. Monaghan on the other hand kept their nerve and kicked some great scores when the game was in the melting pot.
Our underage record since 2017 has been pretty terrible, hopefully we don't pay for it at senior level and can bring through enough quality individuals to keep us competitive.
Disappointing stuff. Some of the players who didn’t even make the game day pamel of 26 I would see as highly talented so you would wonder what went wrong.
I have heard that Ryan Brady should be one who goes straight into the senior panel.
I know they are young lads but seldom have I ever seen a team take so many ridiculous decisions in the ball. Our main threat Lovett didn't take his man on enough despite clearly having the beating of him. And still a terrible call for the penalty was the difference. I wouldn't expect Monaghan to go any further either, two poor teams I thought.
Under 20's result was a disappointment.

Jesus your post is giving me PTSD from the Tailteann Final. Floods are probably running buses to it, I'd reckon, probably more expensive but at least you'd be guaranteed a seat.
Lovett was already in there is my understanding so he’ll go straight back in. Is Caoimhin McGovern building himself back up to fitness? It would be strange otherwise we didn’t see him in the League as he played in 2020 and 2021.
From what I’m hearing, the team could be very different to what we’re used to seeing tomorrow as players carrying knocks won’t be risked.
Caoimhin looked very sluggish in his cameo in the McKenna Cup against Antrim, I assume he's injured or it might just be taking him extra time to adapt to the training/physical requirements of Inter County Level again after what he went through. Someone on Hoganstand stated that Killian Clarke was in a walking boot after sunday also, knowing what hoganstand is like, however that is probably bullshit.
Looking at the Celt, McGovern lined out for Shannon Gaels last week against Drung at centre half forward and scored 5 points, three from play. I would imagine he’s going to need time to get back up to fitness and needs game time. He’s a class footballer.
From what I’ve heard, Gerry Smith, Paddy Lynch, Dara McVeety and Niall Carolan won’t play. Haven’t heard anything about Clarke.
Well 3 of that 4 didn’t play on Sunday and if they aren’t 100% no way Mickey Graham is risking anyone with the championship looming. It fully fit, you would assume all 4 are starters for the 22nd April
I only seen them once but I wasn't overly impressed with Ryan Brady. Lovett has bags of ability but reminds me of Cian Madden when he played underage as in he's light and needs a lot of S and C. Tynan looked a footballer. Overall I couldn't see any of them making an impact this year.

If so, who goes in with him. Gearoid isn’t the answer that this point, and no sense flogging him in Croke Park. Surely better to give David Brady or Donohue a chance?
Lovett is absolutely lightning quick. He has the potential to win ball just by being so fast. He’s the most exciting prospect we’ve had in years. I think a bigger challenge will be dampening expectations.

I'm not sure if that lighting pace is enough for an inside forward at senior level. What happens when there's no space in front of him? He's not physical enough to track back and be a presence in defence, his shooting has been a problem since minor level and doesn't look to have improved much since.
He's still very young, loads of time for him to develop and add other elements to his game. I also understand he has a brilliant attitude. For now though, I think there's a lot of ifs and buts between him and a senior career for Cavan.
IMO the U20s we see making the senior panel will come from the half back line of the team that played Monaghan.

I haven’t been overly impressed with Brady to be honest. Ryan Donohoe hasn’t featured much and seems to have been carrying an injury.
I would liked to have seen more of Brian O’Rourke from Ballyhaise but I also believe he is carrying a knock.
If Clarke is injured, I’d expect to see Brady play as he has probably got the most playing time in the League.
I have one friend who highly rates Ryan Brady and reckons he will be eventual full back with a move to closer to the middle for Faulkner.
Holy god my memory is even worse than I thought. It’s not like I can say it was months ago :)
