my phone was actually off for 4 hours up to 10pm, just heading to bed and a fb post caught my eye then hey presto I’m trying to cancel a y I collected last Sat 🙈
Yeah there was a couple of black performance models and a blue one which seems to be gone now.

I just randomly checked while messing about and did a double take when I saw the discount! Then couldn't find my credit card!! 🙈😅But managed to book 2 red M3 LR's, one with standard wheels and one with the 19's!
Not sure which one to keep...if I keep the 19's I'll get them resprayed black or a gun metal colour...1600 in the difference in price plus 400e to respray so 2k in the difference for 19's. Not sure they are worth it...
Edit: I'm going to go with 18's. I could buy a nice set of alloys in the colour I like for 2k and have a spare set for winter if I like.
Let me know what u decide? I assume without tow bar is 49? Might be interested in this if it can be done-
Out of curiosity, I haven’t collected my MY RWD yet due on Friday, if I call Tesla would they apply a similar discount? Or cancel the order and wait?

Well I'll have to say this buying a Tesla and the flash sales doesn't help the sleep much.
Had a M3 LR in white, vin assigned, and ordered the same in red for about 3k less, now vin assigned. Just happened to see a post on FB and got lucky.
What the process for cancelling? Phone or email I suppose.
White will be appearing in inventory soon if someone is the market and hopefully has the same discount.

It really is, beginning to take the joy out of buying a car. I cannot understand the logic. If they just dropped the cars by 1k for example the cars would be gone in a few hours today. Instead they drop by 5k ish and they are gone in 30 mins.🤔
What’s it doing to residual values, dealer stocks, PCP values, customer loyalty and the motor trade in general? Interesting times.

When you make a payment where does it show up in your account?
Usually the next day or two, but this is the busiest period so could take a bit longer. I wouldn't sweat it.
Just want to say to those still enthusiastically waiting, the Y is everything I hoped for and more , so intuitive and effortlessly satisfying to move in
add to that, I’m not in the least sorry I opted for the RWD as it’s plenty quick

Anyone who ordered from inventory last night and had another on order with VIN allocated , Tesla will be in touch to organise payment before weekend and you can discuss your cancellation at the same time.
they are trying to maximise sales before end of Q1 and will want to know if you will be going to cancel another car which they will need to put up on inventory .
id expect more fire sales by the weekend . Timing of fire sales seems to the evening time

Not a lot as it was a fire sale. Normal pricing still there. But it will make people hold out longer in the hope of getting another.

Folks - can we agree as a community here - that if there are more Fire Sales in next day or two that you only buy ONE car , assuming you only want one car, as grabbing all the sweets from the Piñata means lots of us are denied the chance to get a car and also get a deal.
Some people seemed to have jumped on two/three or more cars with a view to returning all but one to inventory later which denies lots of people an opportunity to get a car.

Have to say I agree - and I got one last night. The whole distance selling/refundable deposit thing in Ireland is actually a bad thing overall imo.
Wouldn’t blame Tesla if they started chronically undersupplying the Irish market if they’re getting 3 cancellations for every successful order.
I use a telegram bot that gives fairly instant alerts when new cars are posted to the Irish inventory site

Does anyone know if you can amend the details on the website, eg change to trade in, instead of no trade in?
You might have to email them to get them to open back up that tab.
If you initially selected no trade in you have to call them and ask for the option to be reopened. I did this yesterday.
The guy I spoke to said that you don't have to go with the trade in in the end either.
