Tomorrow morning I'll be cancelling an existing order I have, which has a vin assigned, because I picked up another tonight at these discounts. I'm sure there'll be a few others in the same boat. Keep a keen eye on the inventory stock tomorrow, they may do the same again.
You could just return it to Tesla. The order agreement allows 14 days from delivery to notify them of cancellation, then another 14 days (I think) to actually return the car. €0.55 per km charge plus any damage but it’s what I was considering until all the discounted cars were sold 🤔
Are these UK stock and likely to arrive in Dublin pretty quickly if VIN’s were allocated immediately ?

I was only browsing Tesla uk earlier and noticed similar discounts on almost cars in inventory. I had wondered why the same discounts were not on the Irish site and then tonight it shows up. You just never know what Tesla will do next. I guess pick a price you’re happy paying and switch off once you take delivery as I’m sure prices will go up and down further to todays sale.
That’s the rumour.

Grabbed one myself in all the madness. RWD Blue/Black for €42990. Although while it says 42990 on the order agreement it says amount due is 47740 on my account as the seai grant has not been applied
Vin has been assigned with delivery due 19 April - 4 May
Any thoughts on how this works as a business model going forward?
Considered taking plunge on those inventory cars over last few days but kinda thought this discount might come eventually (based on @mun1 nabbing one a while back).
That theory is now firmly reinforced. Why pay sticker price when you can just wait until they do another fire sale at the next quarter end?
Also suspect they’ll have a tonne of cancellations from those of us who picked up cars today and they’ll have to refill all of those…
I don’t think you need any reason at all as it’s covered under distance selling regulations:
”If you are a consumer, legally own your Vehicle and this Agreement was entered into by only using means of distance communicaton (such as online or over the phone), you may cancel your order up to 14 days after delivery of the Vehicle or after it is made available for you to collect. “

What's the point of a quarter end fire sale if it's too short notice to complete the sale before the end of the quarter?
Still have the web page open.. 30 cars discounted and sold in a matter of minutes... Hard to pay for a MY at 48k in April - June having seen this sale!
Still a couple of RWD Red w/White interior on 20" induction wheels discounted on inventory.
I would have thought they report numbers both on an actual cars sold but also forward orders which they can feed todays cars into?
Anyway, Tesla motivations aside, you’d surely be a bit nervous paying full price if they make a habit of what they did tonight..
Orderd a MYLR Black on Jan14 to take advantage of the price drop with ESD Feb-Mar, Feb came and went and no sign of a VIN and currently have the generic ESD Apr-Jun, not too delighted with black as a colour but wanted to qualify for the grant.
Saw the new inventory “coming soon” yesterday and decided I did not want to wait until the summer for the car so ordered another MYLR in red and decided as it was above 60K to buy it through my company which would exclude me from the grant anyway.
Then this evening saw the sale prices and managed to order a MYLR in blue for 51K and was issued a VIN straight away. This is some way to buy a car ! Thanks to all the posters on here that have helped guide me and keep me up half the night.
Now I need to send a couple of cancellations, hopefully they will return to inventory and maybe get reduced for someone else.

Order agreement shows roughly the price I saw online €51k, but that doesn’t seem to include VRT anywhere?
Also no mention of grant and shows the OMSP as €60,688 (which wouldn’t qualify for grant??)
Teslas way of showing prices is very confusing altogether…
Never mind that it's back to the 42 k now in my account with the grant applied. Thanks to everyone on here for their help. I will be cancelling my original RWD order now.

I done it last year for an M3P in march too. Had to collect by the 31st.
Mad to think that just a couple of weeks ago folks were selling their reservations for a profit!

I ordered 2 black Y LR with inductions. One with a towbar and one without. I'll decide tomorrow which one I'll go forward with.
If I can transfer the other one to someone else, I'll do what I can... No profit required. 😂

I picked up a Red M3 LR for 3k less than the white M3 LR I had on order... 10.5k less than placing a fresh order. Unbelievable savings!!
I'll be cancelling the white one tomorrow.
Did any performance models fall into the grant territory?
Nope just outside of it by 600 quid 🙂
