I'm a big fan of Kellie...think she's been inspiring to young women particularly from working class areas...I really don't think her views on immigration or immigrants should paint her in a bad light...its her opinion at the end of the day...
That opinion may be all well n good however if that is the case surely you can see the campaign Spar have initiated and Kellie are then not a good fit.
I've admired Harrington over the years and she's always come across well in TV and radio appearances, I wasn't aware of this deleted tweet firstly but she really came across really bad in this interview, telling on social media that the people defending her in this instant are the tinfoil hat brigade regards Covid, Vaccines etc.
The issue being kellie, her PR and media have played on her sexuality and working class background as much as her boxing. She cant be political when it suits then decide she doesnt want to answer tough questions which she has brought on herself.

But I imagine Hannon will probably say that those tweets were when he was young and he doesn't actually stand by them now. Whereas Kellie hasn't done that.
I know myself that when I was in my early 20s, I used words that I shouldn't have used and I would be ashamed if they were brought back up now.
The word mong was used by Hannon. When I was younger I didn't really realise how bad this word was. Kevin Kilbane actually spoke very well on how hurtful this word was and I don't think I have used it since.

Good Lord, she retweeted a news article about a girl being murdered (and then quickly deleted it and apologised), she didn't publish her own version of Mein Kampf.
She made a public statement , she added words to the tweet - asked something of our government to look at , she has 30k followers. And for some bizarre reason she couldn't talk about. Can't fathom why. I've never seen anybody handle a question worse in my life, it was hard to watch.

Kellie should also have been made aware he was going to ask about a tweet made 6 months ago so she could get her answer straight.
You might be an expert in your job but you still need to prepare for an interview because if you don't, you'll not answer correctly.
It was a low blow by Hannon to land this on her out of nowhere. Everyone else had long since forgotten and gotten over the tweet.

And it wasn’t a low blow. She was on the show as an Ambassador for Spar which was running a campaign of inclusivity and diversity in local communities. It’s literally the reason why she was on the show. It’s a very valid question to put to someone who claims to be a champion for diversity and inclusion (which is exactly what her ambassadorial role is).
Seems some people don’t like when legitimate questions are asked. If that’s the logic, then Kellie isn’t allowed to question immigrants. That’s how it works right? It’s a ‘low blow’ to ask a legitimate question no?
She was commenting regarding the case...when she says politicians need to look at immigration, it doesn't mean all immigration.
