Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
FYI- Offaly OOM 70 open and 30 inter to Stage 2 Interview
It took 2 weeks to get mine. They may interview the whole batch before giving anyone results. So if you are one of the first you have to wait longer.
Just emailed for an update for Galway-
37 called for interview on the open
17 called for interview on the Interdepartmental
If like me you were told the week of the 20th for results, apparently it's now more likely to be next week...
How long does clearance take in general once started?
Can I ask what OOM you were.
I am 1195 and still haven’t been called.
Thanks
Did my Garda Vetting application for Dublin today, OOM 136 batch 7
I'm starting on Monday 27th, I was notified on the 8th of March of my new payscale.
Just going through clearance now. Have you finished clearance and been assigned your department?
Anyone have any further update as to any further EOI going out for Dublin open or what OOM they are up to now? :)
Is there a medical (for newcomers) after clearance?
Nope. You do get asked to disclose any medical issues that would preclude you from doing your duties if appointed. That's during clearance.
@Tris12 interesting that you were told those #’s!! The last I heard in February 2023, was that EOI had been sent to 83 open & 35 interD for Offaly? Or were these your numbers and you now have an interview date and I’m just misinterpreting your post? Thanks!!😊
Hi has anyone any experience with Department of Justice? What’s their blended working policy?
Hey @Swanladyy, i emailed asking for an update on the panel during the week and that's what they sent back. Not my numbers.
When you are called for clearance do you find out what department you have been assigned to?
You find out once your clearance is completed. In my case that was two weeks later.
Got an email saying my vetting was completed yesterday and got notified of my department today
Congrats! What department if you don’t mind me asking?
Results are out for the most recent bunch of interviews ! I passed ! Good luck everyone 😊
Same, congrats! Have placed under the 50 mark in Dublin - no idea how quick the movement is though
Does anyone know when this competition is due to end? I was offered an interview for a Dublin position and unsure whether to go for it or hold out for my other County which is moving fairly slow..
June 2024
Same as that! Congrats to you both and everyone else here. Similar OOM to you smithsburg.
Does anyone know where they currently are in relation to Dublin? Is Batch 7 still being called?
Hi,
I sent my Garda Clearance application last week.
I lived in NZ for over 6 months in 2006.
And lived in England for over 6 months also.
Will I be required to provide police clearance from both?
If yes, what is accepted as clearance?
Many thanks
As far as I recall, it's only required if you were outside Ireland in the last 5 years. Email clearance and they will tell you.
June 2024 . I’m after weighing up the pros and cons and I’m gonna hold out for my 1st choice even though it moved 3 peops in 5 months despite 2 empty desks right in front of me 🤯🤯🤯🤯 for what I would gain on the EO pay scale would be lost on commute into town . And I like where I am tbh
