Is there a specific email people have been using to contact delivery team?
Brexit is such a shame, check out the Teslas as far as the eye can see at the Manchester delivery centre today. It’s always busy but this is the most I’ve ever seen!
Collecting at 12.30 tomorrow also, got my text with my reg this morning
I'll see you there. However, no reg :(
@Feidhlim @rodneytrotter15 Have ye checked the app which takes you to your account. At the bottom it was visible for me there yesterday under proof of registration.
had an issue then with aig, firstly they have not got model y on system. Then the didn’t have reg on system.
but the biggest issue was she needed to send it off to underwriter. Who would take 48hrs. Which was a disaster. After a bit of back and fourth she said they will cover until underwriter comes back Monday.
that was good enough for me🤷
Got the reg there about on hour ago. Still waiting for Chill to call me back with a quote to change over.
Had a similar experience with insurance, quite stressful so close to collection, don't know why they wait until the day before collection before they register it.
Picked up my MY RWD today. Very quick to get key cards, friendly and helpful staff, no queue, all very organised and relaxed atmosphere. Two very friendly + helpful staff members from the UK at the Tesla booth. USB key, Granny Charger, charging cable, parcel shelf etc.. all there. No panel gaps and car was pretty clean inside and out. Only one minor issue which many have already reported - the PPF near the rear wheel arch contain surface scratches on both sides of the car. Should be easily buffed out. It's very obvious that whoever applied the PPF, they just wiped the area with a dirty cloth and scratched the car in the process. The irony! I reported issue to the Tesla staff and they were very helpful and understanding and said to log an issue in the app and most likely, it will be buffed out and PPF reapplied by a ranger. They said that a 3rd party company applies the PPF and obviously done poorly. Otherwise, car is great and well built from what I can see, only time will tell. Suspension was definitely softer compared with the older MYs, so it looks like it has the comfort suspension configuration. It felt even felt softer than a M3 RWD 2022. Overall very pleased, car is much roomier than a M3, legroom and boot is very impressive and the premium speakers are great with the sub woofer. Bass is really amazing. The M3 would be more fun to drive, feels sharper compared with the MY but for a SUV, it feels pretty good to drive in general. If you need the extra room, MY fits the bill otherwise go for an M3. Both great cars.
I have checked with my broker - the jump is enormous (but it is an estimate as wont tell me as I dont have the plates) - currently paying 450 for the Outlander PHEV - they want to slap additional 550 on top as Tesla is, to quote: " a rare car, no spare parts bar Tesla and last year companies didn't want to insure them and there was only 1 company that would do it". Weird approach in general.
I have signed up to Revolut to let me know when they offer car insurance (maybe that will impact the market finally) but this is a huge jump for what is a massive jump in security and also lowering the liability (with all the cameras everywhere). Does anyone have a RWD (all standard specs) that they could PM me if you dont mind?) so I could run it by them to see what quotes I might be getting?
BTW I have been "upgraded" to April/June now
I went with 123 insured by RSA and got insured for 400 less than my renewal with Allianz for the M3 and that included the addition of those amazing bonus points
Paying 76 euros more on axa with supervalu
I changed last week to the M3 RWD with me and my wife on the policy and my annual premium went down to €337 with Zurich. She's only got a fully licence for 3 years. Fully comp, breakdown assistance etc all included but only stepback rather than NCB protection.
I think you need to change your broker.
Seems like it 😫
I was charged 630 with AXA
up from what?
Waiting for underwriters to come back but expect to be under the €500 mark
Just about to go with a new policy with RSA through 123.ie for E566 with all the bells and whistles. Can't get an answer about changing over the car with Zurich and will have to cancel as I need cover for the morning.
I was looking at how much it would cost to bring in a new MY RWD from Belfast.
My assumptions:
It works out around 55k all in. Which is still cheaper than anything that has appeared in inventory here by 6k. So it someone was impatient it could be worth it.
So has the price come down then?
I'm going for the M3 RWD in Blue and all I've paid is the 250 deposit and with the grant it saying I owe 41,933.78 which is a good bit less than the 45,660 it was when I ordered
What would be the process and time frame in claiming back the uk vat.
Why would anyone do that when they are €46,500 here?
The headline price has remained the same but the actual cost price has dropped due to lower VRT for some reason. The price has dropped by €1k over night.
The OTR price is now €43,558 instead of €44,370 yesterday based on my mates account.
Does that mean that those who purchased an M3 RWD in Q1 are entitled to a rebate?
Ha ha 🤣
What about those that bought in Q3 last year!
So everyone who got their Y over the last week or two have seen a +€1k drop in value (if you follow me)
The Y wasn’t reduced.
unfortunately a Y LR in grey or blue still just misses the grant, I simply can't drive a white car, no way could I look at that dirt that is inevitable on the roads I use
well actually the policy’s in my wife’s name ( I’m a named driver) but she has a no claims bonus going back nine years and more , she had a 1.4 petrol as her last car
If the headline price remains the same but the cost has reduced due to lower VRT, wouldn't that mean that Tesla were incorrectly calculating the VRT? And M3 SR purchasers in Q1 were overcharged?
