Ultimately the Minister for Justice can block his release so I can't see him getting out any time in the next 20 years (He's been locked up for 10 years at this stage including pre-trial detention)

I very much doubt that he got free legal aid for this appeal. Obviously I don’t know for sure, but I’d be very surprised. As for him getting out, can’t see it happening for a long time. As with all lifers he’ll have to go for parole, and I can just imagine the public outcry if there was even a suggestion of his release. He’ll be another Malcolm McArthur/Shaw and Evans in my view.

It has been decided by the Court of Appeal, if the Supreme Court decide to take on the case ultimately they will decide.
