I wouldn't have been that optimistic about Bakhmut holding a month ago, based on the general thrust of reports coming out of there, but am very happy (not the most apt word in this horrible war) that Ukraine has been able to stall the Russian advance. But Ukraine now needs to take advantage of that and drive Russian forces out of the city and its environs. The psychological boon to the entire war effort would be substantial.

Ukraine has so many weapons now. They have Leopards, Challengers, PT91's, older tanks, Javelin, NLAW, Milan, Carl Gustaf, laser guided artillery, regular 155m artillery, and god knows what else.
At a pinch and in the worst case scenario, they will definitely have RPG's which are very numerous and should be more than effective at dealing with ancient t54's.

The t54/55,unless upgraded,uses simple sight with built in optic rangefinder,have to stop to fire,no thermals,no laser rangefinder,no ballistic computer,armour wil be penetrated with a M72 law or carl gustav from the front.
What i heard is a possibility,is that they will use the t54/55 as mobile artillery,because many of Russias artillery units are worned out after shooting hundreds of rounds every day,but just a theory i seen someone mentioned,
