My reg number appeared ab midday the day before collection. Same for other 2 people I know.
Just had a good look on the cert of conformity which came with the car. Our guesses ab the date of manufacture were correct - the car was made on the 14th of Jan 2023. Also the 3D7 motor has 220kW power on the cert. No idea why tesla website says 194kW.
Well considering you don't know who is actually buying the car, you can't post off the reg. On the notes on the back of the cert it states :
"For notification of transfer of Vehicle Ownership to a Motor Dealer, Form RF105 (Available from Motor Dealer) must be completed by Seller and Buyer."
evening before collection for me.
Prood of registration has just appeared in my account.
Thanks for the information.
Can you share the last digits of your VIN. 7xxxxxx
Due to pick up at 9:30 tomorrow and still no reg. :(
This one?
330-350km
Just one lonely ship heading to Le Harve now. Let's hope once leaves Shanghai in April :)
Congratulations to the new owners, the pictures look fantastic! Happy motoring.
A handy tip if YouTube resolution is locked to 360P
Double tap on the drop-down arrow in the resolution field. Nothing appears.
But if you scroll to the left using the left scroll wheel, you can cycle through the resolutions.
Max for me was 1080P initially. I played a 4K clip and tried again and max was 2160P. Some difference!
when are you due to collect?
Is that a physical piece of paper in the car?
Yes, it's usually stored in the glove compartment or centre console when you receive your new Tesla
Due the same pickup tomorrow, got my Reg around 8am this morning, so prob being processed.
How have people been getting on with insurance? I'll be moving on from an 11 year old ICE car so expecting it to be higher but hopefully not much.
Obviously YMMV but fine for me - no change to €320 premium with Aviva.
Very little in the difference moving from a 15 year old ICE with 123.ie
No change to mine either, €310 with Aviva.
240km range for a full charge isnt great, but hopefully that improves, but very interesting to hear real life rather than perfect case scenario's. I travel that route a lot and headwinds and rain is not untypical.
Sounds like you got a great deal - approx 8k/9k to move up two years is great going without the hassle of having to become a used car salesman yourself. It sounds like you bought the ID4 at the right time and are buying again now at the perfect time, fair play.
And it’s back!
Have emailed them. In retrospect I probably should have. I presumed I would and said that to them but they had a discussion and said no - given they're presumably dealing with a load of trade ins every day I kinda thought they'd know what they're doing!
Think it was FB I saw re this, but just checked my certificate of conformity, and seems the MY is actually 295bhp, not the advertised ~260. Nice one!
Reading reports of 27-30% charge at collection has me wondering.
I know that there are options like Tesla chargers at their showroom and other high speed chargers on the run home to Wexford.
In a Model Y long range, assuming a dry day with little wind, motorway max of 100kmh and a very good record of squeezing distance out of a battery... how far would the collection charge take me?
The same as a Group A car from the 80s albeit slightly heavier. Ah bliss.
9.30am tomorrow, Model YP
I would have hoped for 100km plus, but on a day like today with a southerly gale who knows? The LR battery should be better calibrated than the LFP battery when new, but I wouldn't risk traveling too far.
Sandyford ftw..😁
So many variables but with a charge of approx 30% and "reasonable driving style" I think it safe to say that you can expect about 130km. But bear in mind also that estimated charge on pickup may not be as accurate as it usually is, the battery needs to be calibrated by the Battery Management System "BMS" and this takes a little time and driving (with a new car). You don't need to incorporate stress into your journey and you have many options (Ionity at Kill is 5 minutes drive, Tesla SUC at Sandyford if your route home takes you near Dublin to get to N11 or Ionity at Applegreen just beyond Arklow. Many options but in my opinion take the stress out of it and make your choice.
Charge in Sandyford, you can't trust the initial percentage and BMS needs to be charged as early as possible to 100% to calibrate. I'd stick your destination in the screen then add Sandyford as a way point and let it charge +10% required for your journey as a buffer. Then charge to 100% at home tonight
Just set the destination for Sandyford SuC and it will precondition the battery on the journey and hammer it across the M50. Simples.
Cameras take about 10- 15 minutes to calibrate once you start driving.
