I changed my Zurich policy to a Model 3 RWD last week. I'm 6 months into my policy and the quote came back equivalent to just €335 per year so I'm owed a refund for the remaining 6 months. I couldn't find anywhere near that elsewhere so I was pleasantly surprised!
Edit: They went to the underwriters on mine too but had it sorted within 2 hours.
Yes, they are cutting it fine. Only received it this afternoon, but insurance sorted and car loan with Finance Ireland signed through DocuSign. All good for 3.30pm pick-up tomorrow!!
Don't forget to change your toll tags aswell guys.
SAme. Liberty came back and said that they will not insure my M3. Had to cancel the policy and go with AnPost/Aviva.
Also collecting at 3.30 tomorrow. Insurance is consulting underwriters but should be sorted before collection:)
On the toll tags, you don't need to put it on the window. It can go on the underside of the armrest lid and still work. I tried it out with M50 at the weekend. I didn't have the replacement holder for my tag so used a command strip... which did not last the full journey. :)

Tesla Update - Please note that we are still expecting vehicles in Ireland between April-June. Your delivery window may be different in your Tesla Account ts.la/account but we aim to update this soon. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Seems to suggest there was some sort of glitch alright.

I just got the same also. Some hope at least for us that are still waiting. More updates and communication like this from Tesla is welcome as I hadn't heard anything from them since I ordered the end of January.

It’s nice they’re finally formally letting us know it’s an error. Some people have called and texted and were told this, but others were told it was not an error.
So seeing it confirmed to everyone via text, is really helpful!
Ordered MY on 6/2(Black/Black/20' Induction) with original delivery dates April-May but now showing June 16 - August 30. I just received a text from Tesla saying that they are expecting vehicles in Ireland between April-June and the delivery window might show differently in the account but will be updated soon.

ordered MY RWD oct , ordered MY LR Jan23
picked up MYLR two weeks ago from inventory (white, 20”induction wheels) , cancelled other two and got deposits refunded.
collection date 20th March 12:30
arrived early at 12 and was told to go away and come back at 12:30 as they were running behind. About 5 peoples inside kiosk waiting. About 10 teslas in front carpark getting plates put on with remainder in rear. All looked very clean.
came back at 1230 and ther was now a que of about 10 people with more arriving behind me.
checked in and was told my car isn’t prepped yet.
waited patiently and talked to a few new tesla owners about what the bought.
When i asked was there any update about 1330 , i got a blank look which meant they forgot about me .
in fairness, one of the team went to get my car from the rear carpark , brought it out front and put plates on it . Was fair dirty on the outside and some dirt on the inside, but otherwise good condition.
did inspection and everything was good. Check for 2 x cables and mats and off i went.
driving out of carpark i noticed the barcode sticker still stuck to the inside of the windscreen, a quick scraping with my fingernails got rid of most of it.
No PDI done.
30% charge so drove it to J14 to top up for return home.
Played around with a few features (when i was parked up of course :) ), phone setup, auto wipers, nav, Spotify, auto steer, auto pilot was enabled after about 15 mins.
Everything seemed to work very well. Interface is excellent compared to other cars.
averaged 225wh/km driving 125-135kph in miserable weather into headwind. Went at 120kph for last 20km as weather got bad.and recorded 189wh/km.
Warning : acceleration is mental in the LR and your speed gets very high very, very quickly.
updating software now and going for a spin later
Maybe a stupid question, but am I right in saying new Tesla cars don't have breakdown cover?

You're the 2nd person that's mentioned dirt inside and outside. While I understand the dirt outside if the car hasn't been prepped, where does the dirt inside come from? The cars are manufactured in a factory which I would expect to have a very high level of cleanliness. All the drivers on the Shanghai side wear white disposable overalls. Can they get so dirty being driven on the Irish side? What kind of dirt are we talking about? Empty Tayto packets in the footwell or melted icecreams in the rear doors?
Getting prepared as have visions of running out of charge tomorrow on the way home to Cork lol!
Prob wouldn’t risk trying the supercharger in Ballacolla straight away, certainly not on a non calibrated battery, hit IONITY in kill on the way give yourself some electrons then drive like the hammers to Ballacolla while also preheating and supercharge then safe travels to cork
You get full Tesla breakdown for 4 years.
It’s general dust, debris, sand from the normal roads. Not good, packages or anything like that but it’s 100% on the Irish side. They have to get loaded on and off boats. I know some lads that do this in Dublin. Then they have to get loaded on and off the trucks. Only the truck driver moves them on/off. He doesn’t care what he’s wearing when he gets in/out.

Got the same but it’s still a very wide window so not very convincing in my opinion. Could be to avoid widespread cancellations if grant is going’s to be missed. If they were serious about fulfilling orders here surely they could reroute some rhd UK stock.

That can’t be done unfortunately at the moment. They’ve left hoards if I’m stock sitting there but can’t move them out of the country.
