The real Putin is definitely terrified of assassination. He never appears close to the public or does walkabouts - always surrounded by security and keeps miles away from ordinary people.
It's almost a wonder the public there haven't clocked just how remote a figure he is. They only ever see him on TV or making a speech, definitely not a 'man of the people', more like a Tsar from the 19th century.
Girkin claims, that the real putin is the one sitting at the end of a loooong table, or alone in a church. And the one giving rewards and meeting people in public is a double.

I do have my doubts any time I see the supposedly 'real' Putin near people, even in a highly securitised setting. The one that we saw at the end of a very long table in the Kremlin opposite Macron doesn't look like someone who would be comfortable getting within 100m of a member of the public.

There is plenty of media both visual and audio out there from Putin's trips yesterday to Crimea, Mariupol, and Rostov.
Compare them to anything recent that is Putin. I see no difference.

We've been hearing that on and off for months. ISW predicted that the Russians attack would "culminate" sometime last year before Soledar, and again at Christmas time.
Russian losses likely arent as bad as we hope because otherwise the next wave of mobilization that Ukraine were warning about in early Jan (that never happened) would have happened.

The Russians are so shìt at everything they can't even sort out a proper fake Putin. The fat faced one is the Dud and the real one, that you see at the rallies is a bit slimmer round the cheeks. The dud also let's himself down by the occasional slip into a two arm swing when he walks. The real one only swings one.
