Revenge, or the fun part of destruction

A few weeks ago I embarked on a new campaign to destroy someone, and while this fills me with great happiness, I also realise that I am probably set in my ways and that I might be missing a trick or two as a result. I won’t be changing my approach, but I am curious how other people plan and execute their revenge.

So, by all means, share your experiences and rationale behind your choices.

Well, not quite revenge, but I was in my Tesla with autopilot engaged on a dual-carriage-way. Traffic was slowing up to the lights and I was in the right lane which always takes longer to get through the lights, but it is the correct lane in this case. The left lane is to filter left at the cross-junction. Anyway, a motorist in the left lane sneakily tried pulling into the right lane and my car just drove around him. He proceeded to beep the horn like a lunatic and flip the bird over and over.

I was having a good day, so rather than let the a-hole ruin my mood, I waved back and smiled. The van driver behind found this funny, I caught him grinning at the commotion. The bird man was getting more agitated and flipping and shouting. I entered the car menu, selected ludicrous and pressed FART command for the outside. The guy in the van was in convulsions laughing and the birdman stopped flipping for a few seconds before I took off.

I tend to opt for practical jokes rather than revenge tbh.

Ill bite, an aquaintance of mine years ago, (to give some background. He came from a wealthy family. I am working class(the class that actually works)). took my car without my permission and crashed it into a van. Full of apologies and promises about how he was going to pay for it i took the wrap and took the blame when the gardai showed up. To cut a long story short he payed me **** all after his father informed him i was liable because i was on record as the driver.

There is no better character reference than when someone owes you money.

This chaps girlfriend always had an eye for me so when opportunity presented itself i put the mooves on her and she gave it to me no holes barred.

Now it wasn't premeditated revenge but it was karma balanced in my eyes.

Especially when he found out, the coward didnt even look me in the eye.

Letting hate consume you to the point of planning revenge isn't healthy, it just shows you're hurt.

wouldn’t bother, on the couple of occasions where I’ve been mistreated, where revenge would be justified or justifiable let’s say….the revenge necessary would be to an extent a tad more severe then just slashing someone’s tires or throwing a rock through their hall door..

So a line has been drawn under the two incidents / situations… lesson learned, put down to experience and I’d be plenty wiser I’d hope not to fall victim to similar fates. Look for the signs, act not react….

I wouldn't bother wasting your time conspiring your nemesis's demise. It never works out the way you want it to.

At some time in the future, you will be delivered a perfectly acceptable opportunity, to get level, with whoever it is, you would like to exact your hatred, with which you blame them for creating?

Just make sure you know what to do when that happens. Be careful meddling in tit for tat, it can escalate to places you may not be comfortable in. Never start something that you can't finish, especially if you are acting on a vindictive whim. Such notions can land you in piles of shight.

Do you even know what the person you are obsessed about values, cares about, or fears?

They say revenge is a dish best eaten cold, but don't leave it too long. I once "owed" someone but he upped and died before I got a chance to "pay" him.

If someone really pisses me off I prefer just to face them up when the mood takes me, and tell them exactly why I’m pissed off without beating around the bush about it too much. Otherwise it eats and eats and eats you, and destroys you even more than the original offence did. I’ve been in trouble in work because of that, in fact I actually had a neurogenic heart attack facing up to my then really thick-headed narcissistic boss, and ended up in a cardiac unit for several nights. I was offered retirement on full pension after that and grabbed it. I tend to not back down from people, maybe it would be better if I coolly concocted up slow revenge, but it is not my style.

I wouldn't waste my time for planning a revenge. When opportunity arises I might take it.

But why would I add significance to someone, who wronged me, sacrificing any more time on them?

To tell you the truth I’m formulating a plan to do the same. But not to particularly hurt people, though it will and I’m happy about that, but to repay my money and work. I feel like the count of monte cristo . I’m even reading The Prince ‘ for ideas .
