Same blue MY
Myself and another poster last night both did a dummy online transfer of insurance (using a made up reg) - were able to input manual details and select MY RWD - no extra cost for either of us (but YMMV).
Edit: with Aviva.
You might be able to do it with just the VIN? Have seen folks saying they've done this.
Thanks. I am with Liberty through AA and can't see a way to change that online. There's a phone and a chat (which I can't find). So will have to wait till I get the plate.
Yeah, that was me...
I phoned Aviva about a month ago to ask if there would be any problems insuring a Tesla, and was told that they would have to run it by the underwriting dept. They came back to me the next day and said that as I was an existing customer, they would do it. They won't take you as a new customer though.
I do have 2 car policies and the house insurance with them, and I get free annual European travel insurance from them too, all for the total price of €1030.
You have to play around with the online transfer form a bit though, to get it to accept the transfer, but it found the Model Y RWD, and said there was zero cost to change.
Anyone happen to collect an MY today with a tow hitch? Just wondering was it on the car or reliant on ranger?
Collected first of 2 cars this afternoon, blue RWD Model Y. Build quality seems excellent - only issue I’ve spotted is ppf at rear is fitted really poorly on both sides, loads of bubbles and marks - easily fixed!
In & out in 10 mins, hundreds of cars there! Some cars clean, others dusty. Ours fell in the dusty category but that doesn’t bother me as it will get a full decontamination wash, paint correction & ceramic coating.
Car was charged to just over 30%
Funnily enough, someone arrived while I was there with a collection date of tomorrow, and the staff there went into full overdrive to find the car, put plates on & give it to them!
Two ludicrously priced rwd M3 demos in inventory now!
They're not ludicrously priced.
They have FSD. If you build a new M3, black, black interior, 19" wheels and FSD, you end up at 60.000. These are 58.000 and 59.000 (with white interior)
Thanks, will keep that in mind. I was planning to visit relatives in Cabinteely while I'm at it, are there superchargers in Sandyford do you know?
But they were also registered last year. To me they aren’t worth it
What's the point of FSD if you can't use it?
Not arguing that. Just saying, it’s a 7.500 add on so the price is correct.
its up to a buyer whether he thinks it’s worth it or not
Can’t you just buy one without FSD, get the grant, add FSD after?
So with these you’re basically paying €12k for FSD. Can’t see why anybody would go near them without at least another €5k knocked off.
Yes, of course! I don’t know who would go for them either. But they are that price because they already have FSD added
There are, but you're not collecting in Sandyford. Collection is in Baldonnell at the National Vehicle Distributors (NVD) yard. Look up Tesla Dublin Baldonnell collection point on Google maps. That will get you there.
Email
Ya I know, was just thinking I could go to Sandyford from Balldonnel to charge on the way to Cabinteely.
Jesus , €65k for a MYLR with mileage on it . I’m picking up a new MYLR white with induction wheels for €53k on Monday !
Ah yeah you could I suppose. Sandyford is mad busy but worth a shot. Just 20km away.
Yes there are 4, select them as your 1st destination and it will preheat the battery a little before you get there
Will do, thanks.
Just make sure you've enough juice when you get the car, preheating reduces the range so just be careful of that.
The car won’t preheat beyond your range you will arrive with enough electrons
The 7 day thing is after collection. So I’d call over to the garage or call them in person.
if cancelling before collection then an email is sufficient.
But if the car is registered you lose a lump right?
There’s an actual calculation on Tesla site to work out if you’ll loose anything. It’s based on mileage and condition I think.
Why does tesla website shows delivery timelines for Apr - June 2023, when they have already pushed existing orders to post July 2023?
Existing orders being pushed was an IT bug and order holders should be aware that they are confident of delivering before end of Q2.
Mine was showing fine till this morning, then flipped to July - Oct for some reason. Also, do you know when can we expect to see the VIN number?
