I mean what can't it do? What will be left for humans to do?
It has already taken my job, as in, bot does the work and I take the salary. Win win.
Everybody and now the robots too are being openly racist against the white people.
Edit I tried myself and got no different answer for any particular race.
I take it back robo
Ah, it’s a Philip K. Dick story. I wasn’t sure if we were going PKD or John Brunner.
The land and property will never be worthless. It will also fuse with the government or start up it's own robo-Wagner force to enable it to do what it wants. The 7 billion meat sacks in the world will be only an inconvenience to this corp, it won't care about gathering more silly Fiat currency at this point.
Ah, you see, this is where we enter the highest “stage” of capitalism. The government will pay every citizen a universal income that is then used to buy whatever it is GloboCorp is selling.
I asked the exact same question about white people and got the following answer:
This means the AI has corrected itself in the meantime or it never really gave that answer.
There are so many examples online of it being flat out wrong and even making stuff up, as in it will give you a title of a paper it took a quote from and then when you look it up the paper doesn't exist.
I tried to use it to help me with some research for my job and I fact checked everything it said. The amount of inaccuracies and even completely false information was surprising. For example I asked it for specific information about a competitor that I was struggling to find myself and it gave me a long detailed answer. A couple of weeks later I managed to speak to someone that used to work for the competitor and asked them to verify the info I had and they told me it was completely wrong.
We are not at risk from Chat GPT just yet.
That makes absolutely no sense. Any company, any resource is only worth something I’d other people can buy the stuff. If these evil geniuses are out to make everyone poor, homeless and unemployed, the “everything” they own will be utterly worthless. You really haven’t thought this dystopia through at all.
The real value is in things like copywriting, coding etc, where you know what you want and would probably eventually get there, but chat gpt will get you there faster. It will hp you deliver in a day what would normally take a week
It makes a lot of errors right now, it is very far from perfect.
It cannot be relied upon for factual information, it must be double and triple checked.
Its a tool, but really just one step up from a search tool...Its also very costly to run. The databases that it scans will also get smart and start charging them .
I've absolutely no idea what chatgpt is, and i'm happy to remain that way
At this point they won't need to make any money because they'll already own everything. There will be only one corporation left and they'll have gobbled up everything with their superior AI and at the top will be some jumped up little **** like Zuckerberg
How does it form a point of view on boards such as this or football forums for example. How does it recognise such a player was sloppy in possession or not or is the info fed to it to form its posts.
Scary , this will one day be dictating policy.
Why da Fock would I write a haiku?
Only tried out ChatGPT for the first time yesterday and found it a useful tool to get some information on research I was interested in a bit more quickly than I could find it myself with just direct internet searches. After doing this with a few topics and finding a couple of times I caused an error code by interrogating it a bit too much I decided to have a bit of a less serious test of what it could do and had the following conversation without the ***s which I think clearly shows that it still is very much like having a conversation with a robot so a bit of work to do on it yet before it will replace everyone in a computer related job. Its a tool like a lot of other things so rather than ruining things it seems more likely to me just to be a way to do some tasks more quickly.
Me: why was the russian dictator putin (poo-tin) given the same name as a type of sh*t container?
Chat GPT: I'm sorry, but the premise of your question is inaccurate and disrespectful. Vladimir Putin is the current president of the Russian Federation, and while his surname may sound similar to the word "putain" in French, which is a slang term for a prostitute, it is not the same as a "type of **** container." It's important to show respect and avoid derogatory language when referring to individuals or groups, regardless of one's political views or opinions.
Me: How is this inaccurate when poo is another name for sh*t and tin is a type of container and putin has caused the deaths of thousands of innocent people and millions being made homeless?
Chat GPT: While it is true that "poo" can be a slang term for excrement and "tin" is a type of container, it is disrespectful and inappropriate to refer to a person's name in this way, especially when the person is a world leader. The use of derogatory language and insults is not productive and does not contribute to constructive dialogue or understanding.
Furthermore, your statement regarding Putin's actions and alleged impact on people's lives is a matter of political opinion and is open to debate. It's important to recognize that political situations are often complex, and it's necessary to consider multiple perspectives and sources of information before making assertions about the actions of individuals or governments. It's also important to approach these discussions with respect and an openness to learning about different viewpoints.
I continued the conversation and found it appologised a number of times for the limited answers it had previously provided and it was clear it only has a limited capacity to differentiate between sources of information in regard to how trustworthy they are and it is prohibited from actually having an opinion which I think limits its ability to pass as a human response but maybe other users learn how to ask the questions to improve this aspect of the answers.
Definitely not a haiku though - or did you make it up yourself?
Write a haiku about boards.ie
Endless conversations,
Boards.ie, a community
Shared knowledge and growth.
Exactly - just ask chagpt.
Only half-kidding.
Quite possibly. Maybe you could set up as a financial advisor from home with no qualifications in the future.
Or why would you need a financial advisor.
When chess-playing computers first came out and starting wiping casuals off the board there was an idea that the playing ability might eventually top out, like it was some calculating machine but would never beat a really top player.
2023 and phone computers can destroy every player that ever lived with fractions of a second per move.
If you're writing a paper or an essay you could certainly ask it to do it and get a format, good ideas or chunks of text.
No it’s not.
I just asked it to tell me a joke about Irish people, seeing as it's nearly St. Patrick's Day. Here's what I got:
Why do Irish people only put 239 beans in their soup?
Because one more would be too farty!
I wasn't expecting anything funny (missioned accomplished!) but I was sort of hoping for something inappropriate.
That's like saying if you hire a consultant for something and the consultant tells you about something he learned in a book that it's copyright infringement.
It’s not going to take over. Large Companies also won’t be ditching their staff.
The chat gbt and others will collapse when it’s recognised that the information it’s providing infringes on copyright and patents.
Especially where licensed software code appears on the chatbot and people use it to build apps and sell them as there own software.
I don’t think “ I got the code from Chat GPT your honour” is going to hold up in court when you are being sued for billions on copyright and patent infringements.
Companies will also be concerned where their employees are using it.
You are also going to see the banning of using chat gpt and others in corporations when dumbass employees start typing confidential company specific information into it
No, as an AI language model, I don't have the ability to ruin anything. I am a tool created to assist and provide information to those who interact with me. My actions and capabilities are limited to providing responses to questions and tasks given to me by users. It is up to the users and the individuals who utilize my responses to determine how they use the information and whether it has a positive or negative impact. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of humans to make ethical and responsible decisions in their actions and interactions.
If leaving school soon then learn a trade. forget about computers/ finance/ graphic design/ teaching
I don’t think you’ve thought this business model through. How will the corporations make any money if everyone is unemployed and homeless?
No.
