Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
HI,
When providing reference details, do they have to be for the line manager, or will any managers reference suffice?
Thanks
Just received an email from PAS this afternoon regarding pre clearance, will send the documents back tonight. I’m 136 OOM for the open Dublin competition
Does anyone know how long PAS give your references to get back to them?
Ah get it now thanks
@westhamlady no not yet, I think once you pass clearance they then offer u the place. I know the section I’m in are looking for EO’s but wouldn’t mind a change. Best of luck to u with ur placement 🍀
I'm being placed in a local office and have been told it's one day a week wfh
I for 1 am loosing will to live waiting on interviews … we have 2 EO vacancies from before this campaign kicked off - almost a year and still unfilled . I haven’t even been called yet and it’s just so bloody slow …
have you been told what dept you are going to ?
I had my Internal interview nearly 2 weeks ago. When should I expect the results 😁
If you are put into the NPT there is more flexibility for WFH. If you are put into the local office I think it’s 1 maybe 2 days a week from home. Correct me if I’m wrong!
@crobo1981 yes it is v slow moving. I was 46 on the open and 15 inter I think that’s what they have called for interview so far. My number changed then after interview I was batch 3, 4 on the interd
friend of mine works in DSP and it depends what your role is , i think just under 50% of the 6000 employees are offered blended working
Has anyone got offered DSP, anyone know if they are working from home or in the office or what kind of blended working they are doing?
@pink15 they are calling in batches. In Limerick 1st batch seems to be OOM 1 to 100.
Congratulations , Do you mind me asking what OOM you were or about please. I was told last week there is 8 in front of me to be called but feels like forever now
I think it would need to be declared on the self-declaration. I found this.....
"Will these offences appear on my criminal record?
All traffic convictions are recorded on the Garda computer record. Very minor cases, such as speeding, are not generally regarded as criminal convictions. If however you are charged with a more serious charge, such as dangerous driving, drink driving, or driving without insurance, convictions will become part of your criminal record. Such offences will be dealt with in accordance with the procedure set out in Factsheet 4. If you are charged with such an offence, you should seek legal advice urgently."

From what I gather they call about 100 at a time for interview and those 100 are assigned a batch number. When you get the interview result the email/document will show your batch number and OOM. This is your order of merit within that 100 people. That's how I understand it. People can correct me if I am wrong.
Apologies if answered previously but what does batch mean and then the oom. ( I know what oom after aptitude tests means)
When are you told the batch number and oom . Do they change after interview .
Just see a lot of talk about this and don’t understand how it works
Thanks @blondie007 appreciate ur reply!
Afraid not, you'll be off the Open Panel if you accept the InterD position. They probably won't look for Garda clearance as you're already in the service but they'll still look for your Dept reference, sick leave record etc.
I got an email today for clearance, I’m already with the civil service. Do they do clearance for both interdepartmental and open panel?
If you take a position with interdepartmental do you still get offered a position once your number on the open one comes up?
I have been given department and have my start date. I was panel 7 in top 10 OOM
Is anyone applying for the revenue audit stream? Is there a thread?
i was batch 7, oom between 30-35
Has anyone in batch 7 above OOM 105 been cleared or offered a place..
Congratulations , and well done. Roughly what OOM where you
Got an email today to say i've been placed in the department i'm currently in. Delighted. Best wishes everyone with the rest of the competition.
Thank-you
My understanding is that you would need to have disclosed that on the self declaration form.
It stated "There is no reason on the grounds of character why my application should not be considered for this post. I also confirm that I have never been convicted in a court of law of any offence of a criminal nature. I am not currently under investigation or awaiting trial for any wrongdoing."
"If you are unable to agree with the above statement, please outline the nature of your criminal conviction or the reason on grounds of character below:"
I will hopefully be going through the Garda vetting process soon.
I lost my driving license in 1997 for drink driving, is this something I have to disclose?
Or can I leave it out because it is more than 7 years ago?
