Between them, the Leopards, Bradley's, Strykers, Challengers, CV70's and AMX10's (and anything else I missed) this Ukraine counteroffensive could be war ending. In so far as crippling the Russians in Ukraine, cutting them off from supply lines and squeezing them out.

You're 100% right sir. I imagine the last sentence of your post is something that the prospect of keeps Putin awake at night. Not the slaughter, rape, torture and destruction of a neighboring country at his hands, but that in the fulness of time, history will indeed portray, and rightfully so, Putin as the man who singlehandedly reduced Russia into an absurd abyss from which it will take generations, to recover from.
Compare this to what Putins original idea of how the future would see him. The 21st Century's Peter The Great, with monumental statues taking pride of place all over the Motherland, to forever immortalize the man who brought back the Russian Empire, national holidays named after him etc.....all that to where he finds himself now....with his Ministers being publicly laughed at on international TV (Lavrov last week), begging Iran & NK for ammunition and cheap drones and having to make up stories so ridiculous, that no one can take him or his regime seriously anymore i.e. Ukrainian Bio Labs, Ukrainian Dirty Bombs, Ukrainian Gay Nazis, UK eating Squirrels in restaurants and my personal favorite "Combat Mosquitos" - ooh how the mighty has fallen, and....he hasn't hit the bottom of that pit yet
The biggest issue is the number of jdams they were given according to previous report I posted last week sometime they were only given enough for a few strikes and we've yet to see any evidence they are equipped on Ukrainian jets ,
A video posted last week showing a reported jdam strike turned out to a an artillery strike back in January,
Meanwhile strikes are regularly been reported in Mariupol which suggests something else is being used ,GLSDBs launched from HiMars, the other argument depending on your sources is a Ukrainan Rocket ,jadams or another weapon system ,it's hard to tell with the various claim's

The offensive won't start tomorrow because they don't have the forces and equipment in place and the mud is already a big issue in parts of Ukraine along with Russian mines,it's already estimated they have mined an area the size of the UK ,
As much as I'd love to see them rolling across ukraine tomorrow morning it's not going to happen just yet
I'm 50/50 of including this in this thread. But.. There's claims from some that the missing hijacked Malaysian Airlines plane MH370 that disappeared in the Indian Ocean was hijacked by Russian passengers and flown to Kazakhstan instead of it's disappearance in the Southern Ocean. The claimant argues it was a ploy to take news attention off the Crimean invasion by Putin at the time. Another time this would be labelled crazy. But with all that's happened since and Kremlin influence in the media with feints and distraction tactics. Maybe the claimant is absolutely sane and correct and has the Putin regime down to the tee.

They'd have to infringe on the sovereign territory of Iran, various Russian proxy states, or Russia itself. It would result in an act of war.
Ukraine could do it in the northern Russian controlled section but both Iran and Russia would spin it as an attack on a private merchant vessel.
Ideally we in the next few months we'll see these southern proxy states rise up and create another headache for Russia. They'd lose control of the lower caspian cutting them off from Iran and there would be a route created between the Stans that would allow them to connect to Ukraine and on to Europe. Effectively removing any chance of the EU ever returning to Russian oil or gas.

There is alot of secrecy around this counter offensive for a reason,espesially about weapons delivered and used.
Playing a mind game with the russians makes them even more confused rearding the offensive,and media is playing along with it.
For what we know,the weapons deliveries can be part of the plan

But we do see Ukraine is starting to fight back in smaller offensives,and more and more ammo depots and command centres are being taken out

US JDAM have 80 km and can also be used with the camber method(toss bombing) at 40 km from low altitude.
Russian UPAB-1500B needs atleast 15 km altitude for it to glide 40 km,and the glonass recivers wont be as accurate as GPS,so in old soviet style they make a larger warhead instead to make up for the deviation.
It also makes the delivery fighter/bomber more exposed to radar and air defences

The American Jdam and Russian equivalent are different weapons all together,dumb bombs with wings help them glide to their targets,
The Chinese hypersonic missile is a whole new level of weapon
