Reading the comments, it seems some students who were taught by him say he actually was quite sound and was one of the more liked teachers, which interestingly is in line with what he has said.
All very sad really. They all could have been fantastic members in contributing to society if they hadn't been so brainwashed and indoctrinated.

It’s actually documented if you would care to expand your mind. You can of course deny it’s existence if that makes you feel better but it doesn’t change the facts. I would much rather someone lived a happy life in the body they feel belongs to them than have them feel hated and want to die. I like that we’re all different, it makes life interesting.

I never followed this when it first emerged. I dipped in and out of the news since the new year and learned of Enoch and his history from last year. What a ridiculous protest he's doing. All sources of the media should just stop following him and covering him in the news because I think he's doing it for attention. Enoch & his siblings were undoubtedly isolated from anyone the parents did not consider a suitable influence. If you think them being almost entirely homeschooled (college excluded I guess) is anything but a significant part of their current personalities & behaviour you are being intentionally obtuse at best and ignorant at worst.

Im not sure at what the whole or even the majority of the country would be behind anything Enoch stands for. A specific policy in a private school for a transgender student is not going to be a matter for interest for many. And after that all his actions have been putting up two fingers to the rule of law.

And therein lies the problem, as soon as anyone raises their head on this thread to simply opine that Burke had a reasonable case as regards his religious beliefs, they are jumped on and told they are stupid, obtuse etc. If they raise the nasty vilification apparent on this thread against the Burkes, they are ridiculed and implied as being fellow travellers.
There are a wide variety of views in Irish society on the related matters. As I've stated a few times, personally happy to acknowledge and accept those who choose with the wisdom of maturity that they wish to reassign their gender. As a parent I would have the view that such decisions are not to be encouraged at tender ages.
Citizens are allowed to differ you know. That is how society works.

Then there are the people who would support Burke just as a way of sticking it to the man, and would maintain that the school changing their policy regarding trans students is a bridge too far
