Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
Good morning everyone ,
Is anybody here in Batch 7 Open stream ? Just wondering has there been any movements . Thank you
Ok good to know . Haven’t been called as yet. Fingers crossed
I emailed yesterday, they’ve called up to Batch 7 OOM 65.
Ya I’m 136 for open so assume it’ll be a month or two before we’re given a department
Just got called to clearance. I’m in the 90s.
Was there any tricky or sticky questions fired at you?
Well done , is that the Garda clearance you got called for ? Do you mind asking where in the 90's you were please I'm 114
any update from the Kerry Panel
Had my interview. One half of the board, and the PAS rep, were lovely. The other... Not so much. Think good cop bad cop is the norm though.
Nothing outrageously surprising question wise, although phrasing knocked me a few times. As usual I thought of one hundred things I could and should have mentioned hours later. Hope it was enough to pass.
Can I ask what oom you are . Did they say when results out . Trying to get an idea of all this
@westhamlady i had interview in Jan .I emailed pas and was told I’m next on list for interdepartmental but haven’t heard anything since. It’s 2 weeks since last update
In the interests of fairness everyone should really be having the same experience though. Best of luck.
Hello everyone, I've accepted an EO position in th Civil Service. I'm moving from public service to civil service. Would anyone know if sick leave from public service is carried over to civil service?
We get sick leave?
Congrats well done , do you mind me asking what OOM you are
Can I ask what number you are on the panel
Yeah Garda clearance etc. Knowing I'm in the 90s is plenty of information. You'll most likely be starting the process in about two weeks.
Anyone already a CO and has started as an EO how soon were you notified of your new salary?
Hi All,
Does anyone have any update on Offaly and Westmeath?
The last I heard was that Offaly was;
interD - 35
open - 83
Westmeath;
interD - 24
open - 41
thanks!!
@okaydo
I would imagine it does because your service transfers over and both organisations are covered under same policy
@westhamlady i was 46 open and 15 inter. They give new numbers then once pass the interview so I moved then to 11 open and 4 in batch 3. I think last time they called to interview it was up to my original numbers they called. Heard nothing since the results but I know a few that got placed off my batch. Have u interviewed for it or still waiting to be called?
I got promoted to EO last month, got told NSSO are about 3 months behind in processing new pay, and they can't tell you what pay scale you'll be on till they get to your case
That's terrible. Long time to be left waiting
I never heard of NSSO until yesterday when I got an automated email from them with a case number.
Might this mean that they're looking at salary/ service? I'm moving from public sector to civil service.
They're the shared services so look after pay, Peoplepoint etc,not sure if it'll make a difference if you're moving from the public service, but normally your case goes in a q and they look at them in date order
Still waiting to be called for interview. Hope to be on the next batch to interview
Hi,All
NSSo are a nightmare to deal with.
The general rule for promotion is you don't lose any money. So as an example if on 29,240 on CO scale( not a real amount btw) you go across to EO scale to nearest figure say 30,500 and up one. So you should be starting off on 32,000 . Again not real figures just giving an idea.
It has taken me over 4 months to get pay sorted and only got sorted after raising a complaint as per advice from senior manager. I would suggest you do this as they can get it sorted within 2 weeks. There is no excuse for taking a long time to get someone's pay sorted and not acceptable for this delay.
A complaint form can be found on there home page.
Hi All
Seems like there has been a pause on Dublin interviews the last 2 weeks.
I emailed on Feb 13th and was informed they invited as far as 1099 in Dublin.
I am within the next 100 and still havnt heard anything.
Is this normal to take break in between or has anyone over 1099 been called.
Thanks
Im currently a CO who got promoted to EO through the open competition. Im on point 5 of CO scale so €31,364.88 but moving to point 1 of EO scale so €33,812. According to your post should I be placed on point 2 of the EO scale?
Emailed PAS yesterday re Westmeath, still the same, no change. It looks like they are working through those they have interviewed after Christmas.
