Of course Russia has artillery control or cover over these roads ... It has so for months .... Or do you now claim Russian artillery cannot reach that road ?
I was expecting more artillery hit vehicles on the side of the road
There was talk earlier on that Germany's reluctance to send it authorize 3rd countries to send arms to Ukraine would but it going forward. I'd say they turned the boat around.
Companies whose hardware has shown to be crucial in Ukraine will do well with orders.
Like the Bayraktar TB2's, HIMARS and the IRIS-T AA system.
Hard to tell truth from fiction, seems inevitable though.
If the US military, who in this case are the supplier, modify stuff, then what the manufacturer states, ceases to be relevant because the modified device is now out of spec, which is what has happened with the launchers - they are modified, what SAAB say on their website only applies to stock standard rockets and launchers.
"It wasn't claimed the jdam kits were in Ukraine 3 week's previously."
Joint Direct Attack Munition-Extended Range (JDAM-ER) precision-guided bombs arrived in Ukraine around three weeks ago, according to General James Hecker, the U.S. Air Force's top commander in Europe and Africa.
Duh!
You said a while back you enjoyed trolling - how about you knock it off.
I can't really see how any EU state will want to trade with Switzerland in due course.
Yes, and there are thousands of Russians living outside Russia who have access to a more balanced view of things. For example, they can tell that the Brits are not eating squirrels. How will this go down when they report the truth to Russians back home?
If it fall's it's main beneficiary will be Prigozhin, because I'd say that his life literally depends on taking Bakhmut. Its his last and only chance with Putin and the Russian Military establishment.
Iran have just sent them 2 huge ships of munitions through the Caspian Sea so expect a spike in activity shortly.
They have a good few leopards mothballed, but the Germans want them to back fill other countries orders to cover what they sent to Ukraine, and still they are saying no ,
Hard to believe a country who are in the top 7 arms exporters in the world are turning down business and profits
Would you want as a country to sell any kind of arms to Switzerland, if when you need to buy some back they don't play ball. They can't claim neutrality if Germany has said the tanks won't be going to Ukraine.
The road to bakhmut seems to be open for business despite the numerous claim's of all the roads being closed because of Russian artillery control over the roads in the area.
More German Gepards to Ukraine but the Swiss are still refusing to play ball over new ammunition for them or to allow the Germans to buy back mothballed leopard tanks in Switzerland.
Bots be along now to say Ukraine are using meat shields 😂
Shergarski
@cnocbui your theory is wrong,
You don't like the idea of your claim and opinions of GLSDBs would take 9 months is wrong, and as I previously provided the link to the manufacturer of the HiMars systems which stated that the GLSDBs could be launched from HiMars launcher's,
No where did the manufacturer say it was a separate launcher system was needed .
originally said the attacks in Mariupol were likely JDAMs and then 16 days later it's admitted that JDAM-ERs have been in Ukraine for 3 weeks. As I said previously, the JDAM-ERs being announced in the same 24hrs Biden was in Kyiv and Mariupol was hit, probably wasn't a coincidence.
It wasn't claimed the jdam kits were in Ukraine 3 week's previously.
God loves a tryer
Well, last partial mobilization, the figure for draft dodgers was put at 700'000 Russians, but if added to the steady stream of departing Russian's its probably closer to if not exceeding the million mark. And this is military aged, not counting women and children, elderly etc. pregnant women leavng Russian to give their child a foreign passport to keep him/her free from Putins clutches. The real Nrs of anti-war, anti-Putin Russians we don't know because of Putins crack down on them, but I'd say its substantial. Still there's a sizeable Nr of the population who believe in him. And by the time they find out, on the front line, its too late.
Farmer is clutching at straws now, and so he's getting even more desperate in his support for Putin. The vast majority of Russians currently in Ukraine are there under duress, caught in Putins vise. And for sure, Farmer would not want to be standing between them and Moscow if they got the green light to leave Ukraine.....
People keep saying "Russia has more manpower to throw into the war"
Is this really true? It's not WW2 anymore, and I can't imagine there's tens of thousands of soldiers-in-waiting ready for the meat grinder.
Russia hasn't seen losses like this SINCE WW2 as far as I can see, and they're getting very little value on the homefront for the sacrifice.
TBF, farmer is making an idiotic comparison. Complaining basically RuZZia's not sent in enough and yet controls still some amount of Ukrainian territory. Others have called out his numbers, he's yet to back them up - and it's irrelevant. Ukrainian army has beaten 'the 2d biggest army in the world' by any metric. Prevented them from overrunning their capital, secured huge amounts of territory after booting the Rashists out, and done all this with limited resources. Impressive, really.
You are trying to make it sound that 60 and 18 year old's are fighting on the frontlines in Ukraine. You have any proof of this? If a Country's military upper and lower age limits are 18-60, what's wrong with that??? You seem to forget the amount of support the front line soldiers need, so there are very many non-combat positions that need to be filled. In Syria ( and other Country's that I was in) OAP's, both men and women manning checkpoints, working as drivers, clerk's etc. Its not the big deal you are trying to make out it is, At least, Zelenski is not sending very seriously ill people to the front lines...people who have to wear different colored bands on their wrists to denote which communicable disease they have, to warn people interacting with them
What, again? This must be the first serial-encirclement in the history of warfare.
Don't laugh, looks can be deceptive. These are the feared Moonatz, the cream of Orc special forces.
The main cause of death in Ukraine is Putin. And I'm pretty sure that some one is keeping tabs , so that Russia will be presented with the bill when Putin is defeated. Had Putin take Kiev, he would have arrived at the German border a long time ago, and if you think the current cost's are high, imagine what a full scale war in Europe would cost? The only good thing about it would be that it would be one of the shortest wars in history, and the last one that Russia would ever fight as a state.
Those strikes were more likely JDAM-ERs, as I said originally. If you have some evidence to back up your GLSDBs being in Ukraine nonsense, than post the links.
I originally said the attacks in Mariupol were likely JDAMs and then 16 days later it's admitted that JDAM-ERs have been in Ukraine for 3 weeks. As I said previously, the JDAM-ERs being announced in the same 24hrs Biden was in Kyiv and Mariupol was hit, probably wasn't a coincidence.
The GLSDBs are said to be incompatible with the HIMARS launchers supplied to Ukraine and that new launchers would need to be provided. Because you find that inconvenient for your wish fulfilment fantasy, you reject it and claim it's untrue, without evidence. Same for the 9 months delivery timeline, you claim that's untrue also and make up this Mariupol fantasy.
You know what they say about extraordinary claims requiring extraordinary evidence, well you are claiming two major US news publications are wrong - Reuters and Bloomberg, so pony up with your extraordinary evidence to back that up.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-02-03/us-to-send-ukraine-boeing-s-ground-launched-gps-guided-bombs
A new ground-launched, bomb-tipped rocket to be ordered from Boeing Co. will be part of the latest package of US arms for Ukraine that will be announced Friday by the White House and Pentagon, officials said.
The long-range hybrid weapon combines two proven devices: an Air Force Small-Diameter Bomb guided by GPS satellites that’s currently in wide use and an Army rocket already being operated by Ukraine’s forces. Like some other equipment provided by the US and allies, it won’t be deployed in Ukraine anytime soon: An industry official said it would take about nine months for the first deliveries once the Air Force issues a contract.
There are two other obstacles to your nonsense - Ukrainian supplied HIMARS launchers are not standard, they were said to be modified to prevent the use of ATACMS, because the US didn't want Ukraine having the ability to deep strike inside Orcistan - in case they somehow got ATACMS from another source. There is also a claim they geo-fenced them as well.
It has been said that these modifications to the HIMARS launchers also prevent the use of GLSDBs. My guess is the launchers modification is in the targeting and control software.
It is not yet compatible with HIMARS, but the United States will provide Ukraine new launchers for the rockets, said sources. GLSDB could be delivered as early as spring 2023, according to a document reviewed by Reuters.
You saw the 'spring 2023' and 'handful available' and decided that meant their delivery this Spring would be a fact. it isn't, that was just Boeing hype as it was dependent on multiple things all going their way. This I infer to be contained in that 'document' referred to in that article:
Although a handful of GLSDB units have already been made, there are many logistical obstacles to formal procurement. The Boeing plan requires a price discovery waiver, exempting the contractor from an in-depth review that ensures the Pentagon is getting the best deal possible. Any arrangement would also require at least six suppliers to expedite shipments of their parts and services to produce the weapon quickly.
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/100-mile-strike-weapon-weighed-ukraine-arms-makers-wrestle-with-demand-sources-2022-11-28/
I'll bet you can't find any evidence that all that stuff that Boeing needed to have happen in order to supply GLSDBs 3 weeks ago, ever happened.
The other desperate straw you cling to is the idea the US would empty it's entire inventory of a 'handful' of GLSDBs and give them all to Ukraine, when it won't even give them 30 Abrams tanks out of their inventory of ±8,000, claiming they need them all.
Cool story. Is he in charge of the Russians in Ukraine?
Russians are well camouflaged animals
I take it all back, Ukrainian forces in Bakhmut are encircled 😂
You're entitled to your opinion, but it's wrong.
Nothing coming from the decision makers in Ukraine has said they are leaving Bakhmut.
Agreed. Turning the thread into some kind of purity test for who can be most pro-Ukrainian serves no purpose and only discourages accurate posting and feeds into a general sense of delusion.
