Me today
think Iβll pad out the mini zoo and get a budgie.
i was in the pet shop on Saturday for some cat food & one od the budgies was very interested in talking to me. That said when I tried to pet him he bit me. Iβm pretty sure he also laughed at me afterwards so now I have to buy it. π
Pecks can hurt! A sharp pointy beak.. OUCH! ,,,
ahem... birds and cats are not a good combination.... Nor are cats and eg gerbils as I learned once....
It was a bite! Mouth open! π
dont worry theyβd be kept separately Iβve plenty of space π
The kittens are at the moment not allowed upstairs or in the hallway cos they get into too much mischief π also the boy (Link) unlike his sister (Zelda) is very shy and a little nervous so he can tend to try hide a bit if he gets spooked.
The issue we have is we make sure to be very quiet and gentle around Link, but Zelda loves to be a bit of a torment to her brother.. annoyingly if you tell Zelda to be nice she gets in a mood with you and hides under the furniture. π
The kittens are adorable little shites.
This thread is becoming the Cat's Channel. Need some dogs on here for balance.
In the meantime ..
lol.... Bite means teeth which budgies do not have.... A good peck really hurts far more than a tooth bite..No lips to soften the contact... Had budgies for decades...
You can bite without teeth.
well im not gonna argue the semantics with you but I would have always called a peck using their closed beak to.. well peck you & a bite if they open their mouth and close it on me :P
either way it didnβt hurt or anything and it was cute (turns out Iβm a dumby also itβs a cockatiel but unfortunately itβs the pet shop owners pet bird so not for sale)
I'd get an Owl but only if it could fly outside. Owls are kinda like flying cats anyway. π€£
A peck can be sore . I remember when working with breeders the bloody cocks would go for you .
Must. Resist. Must. Resist. ππ€£ππ€£
The cock or to reply πππ
Very good ππππ
You could be like Florence Nightingale and carry one around in your pocket. A bonus if you could train it to sick up a pellet at the feet of people who give you grief.
Had to Google that ...
Florence rescued and hand-reared an owl.
While in Athens in 1850, Florence saw some boys playing with a ball of fluff, which turned out to be a baby owl. She rescued the owlet, which she named Athena, and hand-reared her, carrying her around in her pocket. After Florence left for the Crimea, the poor creature was neglected and died. The bird was later stuffed.
After vowing I wouldnβt get drawn in again, Iβm couch side watching Married at First Sight Australia πany excuse for wine on a Monday π
Is it a new season Poochie? I have the wine poured and love MAFS.
Yes, on E4 now ππ₯
When I lived in Orkney the postman got attacked by cockerels and geese.. Geese are terrifying. They run at you honking with their wings outstretched. No need of guard dogs if you had geese...
NB not into semantics re other matters!
That's me sorted for the next few weeks, brilliant. π₯π₯
I couldnβt resist it ! Iβm watching MOTD2 again π¬π¬π¬
Geese can be quite aggressive , but I think the worst bird has to be a peacock.
Watching George Michael outed .....god he was handsome.
Alot of fluff but interesting at the same time.
Watching RTE Investigates on RTE1 . I'm going to be polite and just say this whole system of Psychologists, especially for children's assessments, getting credentials, or not in this case , is fucked up. People really need to be aware and check out thoroughly, whose hands they're putting their childs future in .
Yep, it's snake oil salesmen for the 21st century. Seems like anybody can get a "qualification" in this rapidly growing area.
The reporter was shown buying his online!
I know of at least ten children here in town who got their children assessed with the woman named in this. . God help them.
This country makes my blood boil daily.
I'm with you there .
Watching it myself and it is certainly an eye opener
It's unbelievable to think that there's no Regulatory Body or whatever the correct terminology is .
