While in Athens in 1850, Florence saw some boys playing with a ball of fluff, which turned out to be a baby owl. She rescued the owlet, which she named Athena, and hand-reared her, carrying her around in her pocket. After Florence left for the Crimea, the poor creature was neglected and died. The bird was later stuffed.
You could be like Florence Nightingale and carry one around in your pocket. A bonus if you could train it to sick up a pellet at the feet of people who give you grief.

lol.... Bite means teeth which budgies do not have.... A good peck really hurts far more than a tooth bite..No lips to soften the contact... Had budgies for decades...

The kittens are at the moment not allowed upstairs or in the hallway cos they get into too much mischief 😂 also the boy (Link) unlike his sister (Zelda) is very shy and a little nervous so he can tend to try hide a bit if he gets spooked.
The issue we have is we make sure to be very quiet and gentle around Link, but Zelda loves to be a bit of a torment to her brother.. annoyingly if you tell Zelda to be nice she gets in a mood with you and hides under the furniture. 😅

i was in the pet shop on Saturday for some cat food & one od the budgies was very interested in talking to me. That said when I tried to pet him he bit me. I’m pretty sure he also laughed at me afterwards so now I have to buy it. 😂

I woke up laughing this morning. Boy did I enjoy the football last night.
It was a much needed relief after a sad day. We had an online memorial service for our German friend who died here in Chiang Mai at the end of January. His parents were too heartbroken to attend but asked us to record it for them. It's really difficult to accept that a 37 year old can just die in his sleep. 😥
