Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
Cork batch 1, I know where I'm going but don't have a start date yet. Vetting and references completed about 4 weeks ago.
Any last minute tips for EO interview? Surprises they could throw at you? I know when I did my CO interview, a lot of people were caught off guard when they asked the difference between bcc and cc. Every CO I've since met from that panel was asked...
I emailed PAS on Monday & got the same reply as to the email I sent on Jan 10th. No movement at all since December.
Cork Open - up to OOM 29 called
Cork Interdepartmental - up to OOM 8 called.
I was with Revenue too and wasn't kept unfortunately but can't keep everyone I guess
I have one alert in Administrative-Clerical & another one in Administrative-General Administration, to cover all bases
As I'm already in the Civil Service -I have an alert set up in Posts Restricted to serving Civil Servants - All
Do you know where in DSP? Any idea what there blended working policy is? I thought I saw somewhere it's 1 day a week in the office but assume that would be role dependent
Thanks for the reply Just1more. It’s so annoying that there’s been no movement on this
Read up on civil service renewal plan 2030, if they don’t ask about it try and mention it to gain marks for the final competency. Be clear in your examples of what course of action you took in each working situation, they’re friendly and will help you. Good luck!
HI Have you heard anything further
Hi, nothing since two weeks ago. I assume it’ll be another month at least
Hiya, once PAS contacted your HR do you know how quickly you were assigned your new department
One day a week usually only falls if your working on an online team or phone bank offices are open 5 days a week so if your assigned to an office wouldn’t be too hopeful for only one day in.
I was notified of my department before Christmas and still haven't received a start date. Is anyone else in the same boat? Wondering if I should contact my department. People have said it would be slow but....
Is it a department in Dublin? What batch are you? I thought things were moving quicker going by previous posts here
I would definitely be contacting them. Have you had any contact at all with them
No contact at all. I'm not in Dublin but I was top five for my county.
Good luck, I hope you hear something soon
If it's not too late, have a think about how you would handle an aggressive interviewer who constantly interrupts. I don't know the answer, but it's a time limited interview. You have to get your KPIs in or you won't get the marks. There just isn't time to be answering someone who nit-picks everything you say. Think how you would handle that.
Weren't friendly in my case. The opposite.
Really, all of the interview board? Did you get most of your examples across?
No, just one panel member behaved like that, but they opened the interview and set the tone. I don't know what the idea was, whether they were trying to see how I would react to a difficult customer or what, but I didn't think it was fair due to the strict time limits and having to ensure you demonstrate the competencies. Someone told me I should have said to them to stop the clock every time they interrupted, but I am not sure how that would have gone down. I scored lower in the questions they asked me.
Hi, does anyone know has there been further eoi s for interview sent out since 1099 and how far they are up to oom now in Dublin open, thanks!
If intreo based there is little blended . It’s heavy front line learning for a good few months . If NICC or NPT there is good blended options
Thanks so much for the info and advice 😃
Got notification of my new department, hopefully won't be too long before I hear from them
Congrats! What number for Dublin were you again? Are you happy with your department?
Was the panel ex civil service or what was their tittles . Did they say
66 interdepartmental. Going to office of the ombudsman, no idea what it's like, hopefully it's nice
I had my interview today. Interviewers were very nice indeed. Don’t worry they are there to help you.
Yup, hardened civil service vets, with a very particular set of skills, called back in to complete one last mission...
A full list of all interviewers and the dates they would be covering was provided by PAS prior to the interviews.
