As I thought, Till confirms he wasn't cut and that he will be back.. McGregor has shown the way to juice up legally for fighters with long term injurys.
He's been released he asked to be. Him saying "he'll back" doesn't mean he'll be back in the ufc. He's thrash a pure hype job
Asking to be released is different to being cut.
Till has looked awful in those losses against mid-level guys as well and shown zero improvement on glaring weaknesses. His only win in the last 6 a split decision against Gastellum who himself is on a massive downward spiral.
Other guys have had bad losing streaks but the difference is putting on a good performance and exciting display only to come away with a loss. Till hasn't looked good since Masvidal KO'd him five years ago.
I think it was the Brunson fight he physically came out looking like he'd gotten a bad sleep after a week partying. He looked awful.
Well of course Till is going to say that is what happened. In what world is it beleivable that he asked to be released?
Maybe if he wanted to be taken out of the the testing pool to recover from an injury like McGregor did?

I honestly think this is the end of the road for me with the UFC.
I think it'll be the other way around to be honest,
You'll have UFC guys popping up in WWE to gain followers & fans,
You won't have WWE guys turning up in the UFC unless its guys with proper Wrestling back grounds, like Gable Stevenson & the likes ,
The one advantage is instead of competing against each other for the top amateur wrestling talent they guys can do both ,

We already know that fighters have taken dives for money,, this would be no different to that except they'd sign nda's and get paid more for it.

It would be completely illegal. And there’s simply no way the UFC admit to fight fixing in an NDA. They be wide open blackmail, prosecution, etc. It literally admitted to illegal activity in a signed document.

No real superstar in the UFC these days like years gone by & even going by these messages boards traffic on the MMA page seems to be way down ,
Maybe there's so much on now its just become over kill,
It's more popular than ever right now. It's a mainstream sport since they went to espn.. It was bought for 4billion a few years ago and now valued at 12billion.
Traffic's down here because Boards.ie has fallen off a lot. It's the same in a lot of the other once-thriving niche topics.
I use Reddit now for MMA discussion, absolutely massive community there for MMA and there's a UFC specific sub as well.
It is most certainly not more popular now ,it main be main stream but its no where near what it was 5 years ago ,
2016 was its best year for pay per view with an average of 655 thousand buys ,
Just look at the current roster who are its stars ? Who are the draws ? McGregor & Masivadla probably the 2 highest draws both firmly on the way out ,After that Diaz, Usman , Francis all out or also on the way out,
The biggest fight off 2022 was Izzy v Perrira & rumoured to have only done 600k in buys
From a money point of view theyre a monster now. Much better TV deals, sponsorship revenue, social channels etc etc. PPV still their main thing of course.
I agree they 100% need a few new stars. McGregor an outlier though. Out of the top 10 biggest selling PPVs ever, 8 are his.
I think it's already reached its peak and is starting to wane.
Those ESPN fight nights were decent enough at the start but there of little interest now. The cards for the big PPV's aren't nearly as stacked as they used to be either.
I'm trying to think whose the biggest name in it now and it's hard to pick one out. Maybe Volkanovski? Jon Jones is a big name obviously but he was out of the ring for so long.
I always stayed up for the big cards but I'm starting to miss some now.
