James Vasquez, an American fighting in an otherwise Ukrainian unit which received orders yesterday to deploy to Bakhmut. On Mriya Report he said they were in high spirits just "moving from one bad neighbourhood to another". Mentioned they had a lot of very good equipment and the units snipers have recently received thermal scopes.
Over zealous police shocker.
You can not (in good faith anyway) equate people leaving flowers on the tank clearly in respect and support of Russian troops with those actively protesting the war.
Loving the combat buggy...
I'm not talking about the Russian government...
Your point seems to be that people are willing to place flowers on the destroyed tank, therefore people should be willing to have anti-war protests in front of the embassy.
Its not a very cogent argument given that one is ostensibly in support of the war and govt policy and one would be against it.
Posted this earlier, it gets even better with a translation.
Look at the state of these orcs 🤣
...
It would be a bit more convincing as an anti- war/Putin message, if it had a few " F**k Putin and his Illegal war in Ukraine" Placards showing. As it is propaganda wise, it's right up Solovyov's and Marguerita's alley. They will turn what could well be genuine sympathy for Russian's killed into an outpouring of support for Putin and the war.
Comment from the Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis.
"You're overestimating the average Russians motivation to take up arms and die"
What if I'm not?
Or you could be right and all the Ukrainians have to do is, kick in the front door and the whole rotten structure will collapse.
The largest tank battle of the war ended in another defeat for the orcs 👊
So if this is true, that Ukraine was not the source of the drones, could it be that the Orcs are trying to create the basis for a claim that Ukraine is posing an existential threat to them in order to justify some response they are planning?
And has the US just sending this E-6B Mercury 'Judgement Day' plane that is used to communicate to it's Ohio class nuclear missile subs have anything to do with sending a signal to the Orcs to not pursue this line of thinking?
(in Iceland 28th Feb)
What's the state of play I wonder with the Russian embassy and all those extensions it was building on the back of its site? 2 Google Map screenshots. Don't know what date the images are. Orwell Road is at the top. It's a helluva lot of building going on if you ask me. There was an RTE Primetime feature on this last year. Did they get stopped I wonder?
Apparently the cost of these works would have been €27 million.
Also the Irish taxpayer coughed up €15,000 for the repair of the gates from the ramming incident last March.
Can't remember if this was posted before but I'll leave it here.
This is an excellent Ukrainian 2 part doc, with subs, on 1 year of war.
Supposedly emergency planning powers were used to halt it in 2020:
Th US Navy has been dropping some quiet hints at Russia not to take things too far for quite some time. Remember that Ohio class ballistic missile boat that dropped into Gibraltar for a port visit back in November? That wasn't a fluke, USS Rhode Island wasn't there to take in the scenery. The same with the USS West Virginia and its surprisingly well-publicized call at Diego Garcia in early December. And while I doubt that the E-6B visit to Iceland as such is anything more than just a regular training mission, the destination, Keflavik, definitely isn't an accident! The US reactivated their old base there in 2015 and have been basing P-3 Orion and P-8 Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft out of there since 2016.
Some people post these border shot comparrisons intending them to be a sleight on Russia, but I far prefer the state of things - natural environment, trees, maybe even one or two tigers and bears still alive - than what's on the Chinese side.
The last thing I would ever want to see is those Chinese getting their hands on any more of the planets reasonably/comparatively unspoiled places.
He shouldn't complain. So many things the planners do in this country are crazy. 😊
The planning regime in this country is inexplicably bad. Ten times more inexplicable is that Irish people generally love it and can't see a problem.
Saw a piece on another video, they have 6 of those AWACS type aircraft, well, 5 now, and they are not the type of thing that can be rebuilt given the sanctions. Taking those out will severely limit Russians abilities to locate the likes of anti-air defenses, HIMARs etc
I'd bet that on some board in the 'war room' there is marked the position of every Russian nuclear sub across the globe. They would also have the shadow hunter killer subs that follow them and the firing solution status of the latter on the former at any given time.
None of any which is uncommon occurances ,
Nuclear submarines are always visiting friendly ports through the year, and we've seen the full compliment of AWACS type aircraft over Europe and Nato States , only reason people are getting excited is they aren't used to seeing these vessels and aircraft but it's pretty regular stuff
They have been using them primarily to help their cruise missiles hit targets like the power infrastructure , pretty much the an airborne guidance system

Have Ukraine ever admitted responsibility for any explosions/drones/missile strikes within Russia? I don't believe they have.
Never admitted the belogrod helicopter gunships attack either,
Imagine Russia crating false flags for the war they already have being fighting in Ukraine for 12 months
Better picture of that tank (a T-72B) on display in Vilnius. It really is looking sorry for itself isn't it.
If Rhode Island or West Virginia were regular SSNs, say a Los Angeles or even Virginia class boat, I'd agree with you, but they're SSBNs. These boats comprise the US's secure second-strike capacity. their very job is to remain unseen and wait for the order to launch. In addition, with the introduction of the Trident SLBMs and the decommissioning of the last Benjamin Franklin class boats the US Navy no longer bases their SSBNs outside of the US, so the times of ballistic missile submarines regularly visiting Rota in Spain or Holy Loch in Scotland are long over.
As for the E-6B, I don't remember these aircraft going far beyond US air space, or permanent US Bases, before, though that might simply be due to lack of media coverage. Hell, I didn't even know one had visited Keflavik until cnocbui posted that image. These aircraft have only one role: command & control of STRATCOM nuclear forces in the event of nuclear war in case the other command posts are destroyed, so unlike the AWACS, JSTARS or Rivet Joint aircraft, they have virtually no role in a conventional battlefield. They're also a pretty scarce resource, with only 16 in the inventory, of which at least one is always airborne and fully staffed.
I agree with you that the probability of these boats actually getting a launch order continues to be extremely low, but that does not mean that there's not some low-level nuclear signaling going on. You don't need to put out a press release to send a message.
Since when have they felt the need to justify anything?
Half Life 3 confirmed!
