Just tuned it in here in Limerick on a Sky+HD box. Make sure you're entering all the parameters correctly before tuning.
Yes, yes, done all that but still no signal!
Go to services -> signal, what are the readings?
hi all,
Forgive me ignorance but:
I got the new BBC One HD channel to work but it doesn't seem to have EPG except for the current programme and the next one. What do I need to do to enable a weekly EPG for it?
Thanks
What receiver are you using to view the channel?
Only Sky and Freesat channels carry a seven EPG, channels on their own only carry now and next programme info.
I have Open ATV on zgemmah H7S
When I manually re-added BBC RB HD it did automatically start showing a 7 day EPG, same for BBC Three HD and BBC Four HD
I see 2 entries under BSkyB section for BBC ONE HD. One doesn't show any signal, the other has a signal but no EPG beyond current and next programme.
Tune in BBC London, on 10818 V if I recall correctly .
There is a few spurious BBCs on a transponder, if you read further back in the thread.
Is BBC London the same as BBC ONE with no region?
Basically yes except for BBC London News is replaced with a red screen with a countdown to when programmes resume.
Historically the London feed and before that the old larger South East region was the network feed, the concept of a “region less” version cropped up in the early days of digital before all regions went up - there was one BBC One on satellite for England with a generic “U.K. Today” show in the regional news slots and then it reappeared when the HD version launched which also had one version for England originally. That is now gone but there is now a region less “Nightlight” SD feed which operates basically the same.
I noticed the BBC One HD EPG stops on Wed morning. As ICDG says, presumably now that all HD regions are up and running, there is no longer a need for a generic BBC One HD. The 2nd non-functioning BBC1 HD placeholder was removed earlier today.
It looks like, from here on in, pick your favourite region and go with it.
Hi, now that BBC One HD is no more (I think), is there a way to replace it with one of the BBC 1 Regional HD channels and keep all the autotimers from the original BBC One? I've tried doing a manual scan on this channel and selecting BBC One Lon HD, but I just get the message "Service not found! (SID not found in PAT). Thanks
10817V - DVB-S2 - 8PSK - 23000 - 3/4
If you have a lot of autotimers to change I would suggest using the WEBIF as the easiest method. Let us know if you need instructions.
Is BBC One HD not on
10847 - with SID 6941 and 6961
I dream one day to come back to this thread and find a new channel is available 😁
From 1st March it looks like BBC One HD ceased. It's now pick your region time.
There's lots of new channels.... All BBC One HD regions 😜
N signal.
Just to be 100%, are you absolutely sure that the modulation is set correctly? 8PSK rather than QPSK?
?
Can you post a pic of the signal page.
Both were removed over the last 2 days
BBC One HD (network version) was only needed for England. There has been BBC One Scot, Wales and NI HD channels for years
Now that the BBC have launched the English SD regions in HD over the last few weeks, there is now a BBC One SD channel on 101 on SD Freesat and Sky boxes and is currently on 801 (UK) / 832 (ROI) on Sky HD boxes. BBC SD channels are due to be removed completely next year
I use CrossEPG and EPGRefresh plug ins on Open Blackhole on a VU+ Duo.
BBC 1 London HD works fine as a replacement for BBC 1 HD. All EPG info comes in fine and timers and autotimers (series link, sort of) work fine too.
I'm wondering why you have both CrossEPG and EPGRefresh running. As I understand it EPGRefresh just reloads the EPG on a regular basis. CrossEPG also does this so it just seems to be duplication.
I thought so too, but it was only when I configured both that all channels seemed to be registerginf or the 7-day EPG.
When you configure crossEPG make sure 'openTV Astra 28.2' is selected (see #1451 above) otherwise you might only get the FreeSat channel EPG which misses a lot of the lesser channels.
BBC SD transponder update
Can confirm all the SDs and radio are now duplicated on 10803.
Presumably they will eventually clear the temporary TP on 12422
Probably becomes the permanent home of the BBC radio stations
Default setting for epg.data is Internal Flash (etc/enigma2) on OpenATV 7.2 Crossepg, always thought it should be on usb stick along with channel info.
Never ever use internal flash its only default as box comes with no usb or hdd. Having epg in internal flash will... break box. usb is correct unless you have an SSD.
