Heading abroad on rugby tour to magaluf in a few weeks time. Been tasked with coming up with the rules. Wondering if anyone has any good ones from over the years?
Big one is time and getting people together regularly
so if you're late to breakfast/lunch/dinner its a fine/shot
Make sure to get a mascot and put someone in charge of it. They can then be fined for losing it. So the rest of the squad can try steal it. Always good craic
Have spot-checks where a player is targeted and they must produce an item(up to you/team to decide what that may be could be mascot/toy whatever) and Failure to produce is grounds for a court date
everybody on the tour should be given a "tour name"; then punish people if they use somebody's real name instead of their tour name with something like 20 push ups
We did this one year with pegs. Everyone had to have a peg clipped on to themselves at all times. Except during games. Everyone will be robbing each others for the weekend cab be great craic.
We've done it with little toy animals. When you were called on to produce it, you also had to make that animals noise.
Obviously left hand drinking only. Anyone caught drinking right handed, you call buffalo and they have to finish the vessel.
That reminds me of the toy soldier one.
Friend of mine was on a rugby trip to France many years ago.
As they got on the bus they got to pick a bingo ball out of a bag. Each ball number had been paired to a green plastic soldier (remember them when you were a kid?)
On random command, for the duration of the trip, you were obliged to instantly assume the posture of your green plastic soldier.
So the poor bastards who got the "on your belly, sniper-like" soldiers had to hit the floor and mimic that whenever called upon.
The luckier ones had to pretend to throw grenades or fire bazookas.
