Would a carrier like that even fit in Dublin port?? Where would they put 1000+ Tesla's if it did anyway?
Could bring them into New Ross, just like the Datsuns in the 80s. Crosbies can transport them from there around the country too, they're from Ross originally. The boom will be back baby.
I doubt any of the new ships would fit through the Barrow railway bridge..🙂
When i look at Hoegh Chiba i have feeling that won’t be possible to pick any car before end of March, anyone here was waiting before for his Tesla and track those ships before?

My car is on that boat, and I'm picking it up on the 23rd.
They use NVD in Baldonnell. A convoy of trucks will transport them from the port where they're PDIed and handed over to customers. There's acres of space there and always several thousand cars on site
Tesla will move Heaven and Earth to deliver all of them before the end of March. That's how they operate... it's all about the quarterly figures.
Cars will be loaded on to the ro-ro carriers coming to Dublin by the weekend, and it's full steam ahead to get them delivered. Only 2 days sailing to Dublin.

Ah yes, I know about NVD in Baldonnell, but I was talking about storage in the port, and a ship like the 'Chiba' actually fitting into it and where would the cars be kept before going to NVD if it did unload them all.

A few more days after that, maybe a week, for first batch of cars to arrive in Dublin and deliveries from 12th Mar onwards. All seems reasonably achievable. I dont think they would have lined up hundreds of customers to pickup their cars if they didn't think they'd deliver.
The payment details will also show up in your account when it is time to pay. I received the bank account details 3 weeks prior to delivery. Paid it off today, so only waiting for the 18th of March now.

I placed mine on 14th Feb.. few days before it was saying feb/mar delivery… I was waiting on my Wife to give the thumbs up 🤦🏻♂️

Missed a call from Tesla, assume it was a follow-up to my test drive last week (even though I've already ordered a MY, currently showing April/May. ). Rang them, couldn't get through, and requested a callback.
Asked the nice English-sounding lady if there was any update on Q2 deliveries. She said "Q2 doesn't exist for Tesla (strange comment), so if you're not matched by end of March, it will be September"
This is in complete contrast to what the Tesla rep told me when I took the MY out for a test drive last week, in that there would definitely be another delivery in Q2.

I wouldn't believe a word of it. Last I read Shanghai were producing 13k Y's a week in Nov and moving to 20k. They'll be well aware when the grant is being reduced in all locations and will be aiming to max out shipments rather than get hit with a raft of cancellations.
Right so I just got off the phone with David in Sandyford. He said normally there's only deliveries in Q1 & Q3 but due to increased demand they've added April/May slot. He said it's not guarantee but they wouldn't put that estimate up if they couldn't follow through on it so that's all he has to go with. In regards to Q1 cancellations, he said the normal way of working through Tesla orders is that any cancelled in Q1 will filter down to the April/May slot... so there's still hope :)
I really hope not. Otherwise I'm gonna run out of youtube tesla videos to watch.
Crap - if there's nothing April/May and it's really not till September that really screws me up as I have a company car that needs to go back in 3 months and then I'll have no car
