I’ve lived in Russia, played Astro turf football at the weekend with lots of young Russian lads being called up to the army, know their partners, kids etc. It’s a horrific war and I condemn Putin and his cronies but the ‘soldiers’ are often just regular guys

I lived in London through the 80's during some of the worst days of the troubles and only once had any **** given to me for being Irish, and that was after a partcuarily nasty IRA "incident".
Being Irish over there during those days made me very aware of generalising about whole populations during times of trouble, though today I have to admit I'm finding it very hard when I hear Russian spoken in public, or interact with a Russian not to feel a "little agitated".

IF Russia has limited use of RPGs or the like. When Ukraine get the Bradley’s it could/should be carnage for the Mobiks.
If Wagner or other private army looks to be even remotely looking like a threat to Putin… you could see China willing to “help” Putin/Russia by entering Russia to protect Chinese Russians. It’s what Putin would do.
If they have lost as much as we think/hope they have in Ukraine then their borders must be guarded in name only.
I’m sure there are many soldiers who don’t want to be there but their choices are limited until there is a change in regime. Not every British soldier was a cold blooded murderer on Bloody Sunday, not every German soldier was a Jew hating nazi, not every Serb wanted ethnic cleansing in Bosnia, not every American soldier agreed with shock and awe in Iraq.
I suspect the most plausible scenarios are lots of fighting but little progress on both sides or the Russians being pushed back and who knows what Putin does next.
My preference is for peace rather than death and of course any brutalisation is unacceptable.

The RPG ia a point and shoot weapon accurate at close range where you can see what your hitting, but not so accurate at range against a moving targets ,
We've seen more than a few videos of Ukrainans IFVs and tanks engaging orc infantry without taking any Anti tank fire ,i think HiMars strikes have completely degraded supplies to units in occupied territories
