Jamie Oliver can be a bit annoying, but his Ministry of Food book worked miracles for a former fat bastard I knew back in 2005 who learned to cook decent home-cooked meals instead of ordering takeaway and playing video games all night.
Unfortunately it took a long, long time for people to wake up and realise that processed food and cans of Tuborg five nights a week are a terrible combination.
You’ll often still see people whining about the “rabbit food” their doctors recommend over greasy pig slop, typical Neoliberal sorts who think that doing whatever they want all the time is some sort of inalienable human right, even if it kills them.
