Texoil dropped prices by 60euro for 1000 litres since friday. Was 640 now 580 in Galway It's going to be cheaper in 2-3 weeks as crude oil dropped 23% on todays markets
I’m actually thinking it might be worth resurrecting the oil boiler. We switched to natural gas about 12 years ago and the price of a boiler at that kind of rate might be worth looking into. We still have the tank, the flue and the connections for it to the plumbing are fairly trivial.
Just checked Certa 576 for 500 ltrs less discount code HOME 15 565 not too bad.
The code WRK30 still works as well.
558 today, just purchased 500 ltrs (Wicklow)
579 with WRK30 in Limerick just now. paid 625 2 weeks ago
Any up to date codes for topoil.
Tried the usual winter22 spring23 etc. But no joy
Winter23 is working for 10 off
€555 for 500 litres with certa Wicklow, using code WRK30.
Price dropping daily since Tuesday.
Hopefully will continue down to €500
95c a litre around the border last weekend and under 90c a litre at the minute.
Got 500 litres during the week for E549.
Looks like it will drop more. There's a glut of diesel/kero and refinery margins are lowest in 15 months.
We may see sub €1 a litre

Prices still dropping, €545 for 500L for me with Corrib.
The best Certa code I can find is still WRK30 which gives €30 off 1000L and pro rata down to 300L but Certa can be more expensive even with the code so shop around local suppliers.
The few local suppliers certa haven't mopped up...
Brent crude down 33% since June, might see $70 a barrel soon hopefully
Still no certa deliveries available in Limerick. 2 filling stations, one at tesco... Do tesco own certa?
Down to 535 now... we bought Saturday at 545. I won't lose sleep over the tenner - or if it drops more... LOL
Certa is part of the DCC group. Both Emo Oil & Campus Oil are part of Certa & both are Limerick based.
Just checked and got a quote for a limerick delivery so they must have arrived
Listed as delivering in Limerick https://certaireland.ie/order-form/?fT=3706&c=LK&q=500&vR=13.50&uP=0.9921
Use code WRK30 if ordering off them.
Crude is only one part of the equation.
Refining margins and exchange rates are important variables.
Refining margins are currently $25 (lowest in 12 months) - were as high as $88 last year. Historically average is $10
Dollar has strengthened to 1.06 from 1.09 too.
And remember it's the Brent oil price that relates to Europe. Currently $83
So how many barrels of Brent crude are needed for 500L/1000L of kero and what volume is the refining margin based on (barrels or 1000L)?
Got it 500l for €500 cash sale, cork city.
From what supplier ?
Ethnic minority unregistered traders et al?
Prices will be going up by nearly €20 per 1000L when the NORA Levy comes back into play on the 1st March.
€522.99 for 500L with Certa in Meath using discount code WRK30. Falling slowly.
I've pulled the trigger today on a top-up.
Cold spell in Europe pushing refinery margins up and Russian output firming up oil prices and further dollar strength pushing exchange rates down.
It won't jump dramatically, but I suspect it's at the bottom of the current cycle.
Can you give a link to that?
In the budget this was reduced to zero and no mention of it returning.
There is a 2c carbon tax increase coming on May 1st which was in the budget. It applied to motor fuels the day after the budget and delayed (as has been for the past few years) to May 1st for heating oils, coal and gas.
