Roadworks….
I hold her in far higher regard than I do you, as I do Ukrainians in general who are fighting for their existence. I find their terminology for the scum who are participating in the war or who are supportive of it to be entirely fitting and appropriate and will continue to use it.
More in-thread drama. Ffs. 🙄
At the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) event in Austria. The invited Russian delegation walk out after a Latvian delegate hurt their feelings.
Ukrainian and Lithuanian delegations shunned the event over Austria's decision to invite the Russians.
Edit: Not one Russian present stopped for a minute to agree with the sentiment of the Latvian delegate. No, the position was taken of authority over the event and an attack on Putin.
Spain has how many???
300
600
Or something else
How many delegates did the Russians have? Looks like enough to make a majority in any vote 😊
Yes they protested about Covid lockdown,, plus the lockdown was hurting badly economically, but as for regime change, that did not work out too well the last time, Tiananmen Sq comes to mind, and there's no reason to think that another revolt would be treated any different. Jinping and Putin are very similar individual's, A revolt in China would be put down as ruthlessly as Putid would do in Russia.
Double checked the numbers - original source on twitter seems to be way off. First figure was combine total stock (300), then double that for 2A6s. Reality is 300 total, 200 of which are A6)
Estimates for Spanish stocks are infact: 100 2A4s, 200 2A6s
The 2A6s are manufacturer in Spain under license also (full name: 2A6E, for Espana), so they should have no problem in maintaining or refurbing A6s for export.
The concessions granted re covid lockdowns was likely as much to do with the economic impact of shutdowns, as it was the people's protests.
While Putin is alive, I cannot see any change, and even after he goes, any changes that may come might not be for the better...could even get a lot worse, despond's on who holds the levers of power. For real change, the whole Kremlin apparatus will have to be dismantled.
Spain has about 110 operational tanks, the rest are in rag order which the majority were left to rot outside for 10 + years
Good idea. If I was protesting thats what I would do.
So 12 months on from the invasion, which of course Putin said he wasn't going to do, where do we now stand. Putin has already threatened to use nuclear weapons, his soldiers are raping torturing and killing Ukranians. Hundreds of thousands have been killed, Russia is raining artillery down on civilians on a daily basis .Clearly there will be no attempt by the Russian people to topple the regime so what should happen now? My own preference would be for the west to give Ukraine every bit of weaponry that they are looking for and then some. Anyone got a better idea?
I am absolutely no expert, but even quick google shows they have less than half those numbers and quite a lot of those currently require a lot of work to make serviceable.
Run out? You jest. Putrid has never once demonstarted a lack of lies and spin. When they close the lid on that pricks coffin, 'I'm not dead' will probably be heard coming from it like a line from Life Of Brian.
The Ukrainians refused to turn up because the Orcs were invited.
I was always taught when driving, up onto the left, down on the right.... Guess it's up on the blue, down on the yellow!
Hope there's no rush to clean that up.
If I were the Emperor / President / General etc. in charge, they would be long gone. Middle of the night job, kind of operation Putin would approve of. Full Military style action, blank the whole building electronically no communications, before they enter the building and take the staff into "protective" custody before deportation.
Nice dream,,,, but that's all it will be, unfortunately😣
what weaponry would that be? as it seems most nations' stockpiles have not been well maintained, nor are the stockpiles (except US) that large.
And because most arms manufacturing in the west was left to private companies, for decades profit was key target above all else. Just-in-time supply chains and a relatively low capacity is the norm in western arms industries because it has to be economically viable, which is decided by state purchases (which have all been way too low since the 90s).
Contrast that with state owned enterprises in Russia which have been producing more than most of Europe in peacetime. Even though theyve blown through most of their stockpile of precision missiles, they just wait a month and have enough to launch another barrage.
The Long War Journal, a U.S. publication reporting on and analyzing wars, examined the photographed serial numbers from 16 downed Kh-101s, six of which are thought to have been made in 2022. According to its analysis of limited data, the Long War Journal’s most conservative estimate is that Russia can produce one Kh-101 missile every four days.
Jamestown estimated that Russia's maximum annual production capacity is not likely to be higher than 225 missiles in total, which includes Onyx, Kalibr, Kh-101, 9M729 and Kh-59 cruise missiles and Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
A June article from the Center for European Policy Analysis stated that Russia’s been running its missile factories in overtime. This includes the Novator plant, which made up to 120 Kalibrs and several dozen Iskanders per year before the full-scale invasion, according to CEPA. There is also the Votkinsk plant, which makes Iskander, Yar and Bulava missiles, whose production grew from 50 to 60 missiles per year in 2022.
Interestingly, these appear to be more optimistic estimates than Ukraine’s, whose military intelligence said Russia makes 30 Kh-101s in a single month, along with 20 Kalibrs.
Nobody is mentioning regime change.
If Russian people disagree with any aspect of the war, they can get out and protest. Chinese done that, they didn't look for a regime change.
The fact is that the Russian public don't protest against the rape, murder, genocide, ethnic cleansing, pillaging, torture, kidnapping and a host of other reasons.
You could argue the public elected Putin, the people (by not protesting) are enabling him and the multiple of crimes. Complicit they are, it could be argued.
And I know how this ends, exactly like when the Nazis crimes were revealed to the world, the Russian public will claim they had no idea or they couldn't do anything to prevent it.
Lol..
Even better with the choice of pics they used 🤣
just google Putins security arrangements when he travels, or like for his speech to the nation the other evening. Unreal is the only way to describe it. Behind the curtains on the stage were several snipers behind each curtain, not to mention what was in the audience and the gallerys. He is now paranoid about being killed.
Sorry I meant to add footnote to my earlier post, " No long winded copy and paste naval gazing type posts please " just a few plain and simple ideas please.
He gets to manage the oligarchs vineyards and bang ugly russian hags as payment
Lol. You're funny.
By the way, you didn't read my post correctly, which makes your cut-and-paste escapade moot.
In fact, the line you quoted, is incorrect.
Just because a few folk's views are widely reported, does not mean they are widely held.
Disgusting Orcs.
Just like the V-weapon offensive in WW2 a resource draining operation
Plus, anyone who goes to such lengths to prove a poster wrong, and in the process, mis-reads the post AND mis-quotes the line that supports your "burn", needs to eat some fruit and get some fresh air.
It's a nice afternoon out. Go for a walk before your dinner.
I'm popping you on ignore I'm afraid. I find your posts mildly irritating. As I'm sure you do mine.
It's for the best.
A truly horrible nation.
