The auto wipers on the M3 are absolutely brutal.
I have found them to be fine. On a couple of occasions, I have tapped the wash button to get it going, but mostly I have had no issue with it. Certainly no worse than any previous car I've owned.
Park the car so the headlights are about 5m back from a wall at night, roll down the windows and turn on the light show in the toybox to fully appreciate the LED lights.
I find the main beams good but dipped lights poor. When you aren’t blinding oncoming traffic they are too low. Have had them checked at Sandyford but came back even worse.
Tripe, can't stand them
Just raise them up yourself…..
It's a bit silly that you can only do 1 side at a time, but I've often had to make small adjustments to them..
now though I just park on level ground (local Tesco carpark) and auto level them.. which I need to do after every software update now (as my driveway is a slight incline, and software updates seem to level them based on that incline!)
They are sh1te….. and they must be on auto now to use AutoPilot….
at night for me living by the coast, they’ll happily wipe away when there’s no rain….
they worked fine before, but Tesla Vision has completely fcuked them up.
That's a pity, you'd think it's an easy fix OTA
yeah, and it's an OTA update that fcuked them up......
Yeah, +1 for the auto wipers.
They range wildy from the atrocious to just being stupid. Like coming on full-tilt when there is barely a Mist (or sometimes even just sunlight blinking through street while you drive) to barely coming on at the lowest setting during a torrential downpour.
They fixed the Auto High beams (mostly - sorry to all pedestrians, the car doesn't dip lights for them) with a OTA update. Hopefully, they can do the same for the wipers.
They usually come looking for payment of outstanding balance about 1-2 weeks before delivery.
€250 deposit.
You get a delivery date range.
They may come back sooner with spare cars from this delivery.
You pay online
you collect.
They request payment about 10 days before collection.
Tried all that. Even Tesla say there is a problem that normal adjusting doesn’t seem to fix. They want car for day to change some module but haven’t got around to it yet. Basically when the dipped lights are at a height when you can see a little road ahead then the left side is about 20 feet high and everyone is blinded in a corner.
That sounds like the 2021-> matrix headlamps to me. The beam pattern has a very strong bias to left.
Mine is a 2022 March car, but something not right with the lights. By far the worst of my last 3 cars. Best was a Skoda Superb Elegance with Adaptive Zenons. Even a work Kuga with Fords' LEDs is far better than my Model 3..
Must spend a day in Sandyford when I get a chance. Otherwise the car is perfect..
Are you getting a favourable rate from BOI? I found going with AIB via Tesla was the cheapest rate in July/August last year. It was easier too. Order car. Pay deposit. Select finance option and supply details when asked. You can always change your payment option before final payment.
It took longer than expected. I rang AIB directly because the final decision was taking a while. Turned out they hadn't received a document I sent from Tesla which arrived later that day. I looked at other banks and the credit union, but the rates were nearly double.
I'm finding FI through Tesla to be a nightmare! They requested bank statements, sent them over 2 weeks ago and have not heard back despite several follow ups.
Trying with AIB now to get a green loan as it's the same rate, and at least the car will be mine from the start then. Repayments are not an issue, so I don't know why FI just won't get back to me
I had same problem with them , just contacted with them and they replied me back straight away there is no problem with finance and they sent acceptance to Tesla.
Thanks both! I might just ring FI directly instead of going through the contact person they gave me because he's been unresponsive. I'd still prefer AIB, but it would make me feel better to see something approved :) I can still change it to cash later
whats his name? Also having a slight unresponsiveness from my contact person. Dm the name?
DM sent
Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but I'm filling out the information on the Tesla website to trade-in my car and they're asking for the Trim. I have zero idea where to find it!
After googling and extensively looking for a badge around my car, I have no idea. It's not in my car manual or on my owners booklet.
I have a Mini One that has actually nothing luxury. I don't have air conditioning, navigation or cruise control. I'm pretty sure it's just a bog standard base model. Do I just enter Base under trim?
One = base
Thank you!
Congratulations!
Tesla will take care of the SEAI grant.
Hi folks,
I have a question on the SEAI grant also that may have been answered:
My ideal configuration is:
Model 3 Long Range
Grey paint job
White interior
This is coming in at €60,553, which is over the €60k limit for the grant!!
Any way around this?? Do Tesla offer cash discounts if you turn up in person?
Without turning up in person how else do you expect to get the car?
Is it not self driving?!
