The Jdam-ER can be attached to unguided bombs weighing from 220 to 900kg. Once dropped, the bomb opens its wings, allowing it to glide up to 72km (45 miles) and tripling the range of the original weapon.
Boeing received a $40.5 million order from the Air Force on 20 January as part of an existing Jdam contract. Work is due to be completed by 30 June. The order indicates that the US and Ukraine have found a way for Soviet fighters to program and launch the Jdam-ER.

Yes, but what I had to laugh at was the moment he finished speaking and the audience (especially those nearest the stage) stood up to clap and cheer him, one camera panning out over the audience from the stage, caught all the party faithful, but inadvertently, the mass exodus from the back of the hall where roughly one third of the audience made a break for freedom, even as the cheering and clapping were still going on.
