Could you order via UK website, fly over to collect and avail of grant? What's the difference other than the journey?
I have a base M3 rwd with a delivery date and it's paid in full. I've seen a few come up in inventory with the 19 inch wheels (2 in the last few days) and it has me thinking I should've gone for the 19's. What would my options be at this stage can I just click buy now and transfer over or am I stuck with my current order?
No idea if it can be done but a trip to Tesla in Belfast would be much easier.
But, you're paying your money in a different country and the tax goes to HMRC. Why would the Irish govt contribute €5000 to that purchase?
You’d need to pay separate VRT on it as welll. And not sure you can use the Ireland grant on a car bought abroad.

Not sure. I know that the delivery coming now has the parcel shelf as I was in Sandyford yesterday and asked specifically about that. Emergency kit and mobile charger are also included, btw.
OP contemplating purchase of a grey non grant qualifying inventory car, no white available in inventory.
I see mention of mobile charger. Is that the " granny cable"/3 pin plug?
Is a type 2 cable supplied with new car?

HOEGH CHIBA approaching Suez Canal . Interesting to see if anymore VIN’s are assigned over next few days
The Hoegh Chiba is now anchored up, waiting for their passage through the Suez Canal. We should see the ship in the Mediterranean tomorrow.
Why would that make a difference to VIN assignments?
Historically, Tesla started to issue VINs once the boats cleared the canal.
Also the point where they should start reassigning VIN’s whose orders have been cancelled.
Coming close to the time for people(those who placed deposits) to sh1t or get off the pot
Also for those still awaiting a VIN , time to keep an eye on the inventory page . 3 M3 and 13 MY’s there at the moment

Same prices as placing an order, they're just over the cliff edge that causes the grant to disappear
Might not appear that silly , if €5k grant is gone/reduced and your current car depreciates further later in the year.
If I was going to give away €5K I’d rather risk it and blame the Irish Government or Tesla than convince myself I just had to.
What’s silly is for the M3 demos they had in inventory, both have disappeared over the weekend which would suggest they are sold - prices were way above buying the same one new
As many others have mentioned: a VIN appeared on my account as Hoegh CHIBA went through SUEZ CANAL.
Unfortunately I may have been too quick to switch from red to white, but anyway - I have a car, and a colletion date and time! HAPPY TIMES!
@Gumbo Are there places doing wraps for €1,700 ? I thought it was closer to €3k for one ?
LM Autostyle quoted me €1300ish
Wrap-it Design quoted €1500ish
Ive also for quotes for €2k plus but that was from companies with big fancy garages and most likely more overheads.
Hexis or 3M is a good quality wrap so once the company are using a good quality product and of course check out their previous work.

I called LM and they quoted around €1,400 which seems like good value to me.
