Seeing as Elton has now rescheduled his Dublin gigs, might be useful to start a 2023 thread as others might start popping up.

They've sold 95% of the tickets for the first night and over 80% of the tickets for the second night, only VIP, Platinum and the corners left. Full arena setup as well.
Not bad for something I don't think has ever officially aired over here.
Think I saw them at an open mic in Bruxelles? around the same time, yeah, that first time you see them go from flamenco to thrash metal is an experience.

IIRC, the last time The Waterboys were scheduled to play in Galway, the gig was called off due to the weather. I'm hoping that they have a date in Galway this time around again.
Paul Heaton. 3 Arena. Just now.
Brilliant concert. Can't beat being near the front at a concert. Brilliant songwriter, singer. Brilliant band, and he's in Galway, Kerry, Derry, Belfast, I believe. He's even discounted the tickets as he's not a gouger. The support act Rumer, covered a few a the female lead songs. Excellent stuff. Great brass section two.

I know he is mainly playing festivals including EP this Summer. He has a young cohort of fans that cannot attend EP. Have one at home.
He has been teasing possible extra UK and Ireland dates. LATM would be a great addition.
Not always, The Snuts played Buttom Factory last year and the only way to get one was pre order or pay a euro for an early access pass (which came with other stuff as well), but most of the time it is no purchase necessary

Paul Heaton was on about 8:50, a few minutes later than the stated 8:45 time.

Dublin, then Cork announced. GIAF has only a few bands announced, hopefully they'll play.
And likely Musgrave Park for Cork? I was under the impression we were getting no more concerts there, but will be happy to have a few more

Wondering what the date would be that suits both venue and band confirmed dates. Unless gigs go into 1st week of July, but that leaves musgrave set up for about a week with nothing else announced
George Ezra is June 11th so expect the 1975 around that weekend in cork
1975 playing St Annes Park 7th and Musgrave Park 13th June.
Was there Friday myself. Great performer, his voice is still excellent to this day. Hasn't changed.
Had a great night, thought the gig was brilliant.
