You've great taste KLF 😂
I ordered MY white with black interior 19" wheels 28th Jan. No VIN and still just have Feb - March on my account.
LR or RWD?
Ordered on the 13th Feb (M3, white, black interior), Apr-May coming up for me.
Ordered MY RWD White with black interior and 20” induction wheels on 14th Jan. Account still says Feb-March with no VIN or hidden VIN.
Assuming not going to make the current shipment at this rate.
Jan order too no vin but got text today saying account will be updated with delivery date so may get lucky soon
Seems to be a pretty consistent theme of anyone who ordered rwd with induction wheels have a generic edd and no vin (me included, edited my original December order). Which would make you think there is none on this ship so hopefully be on next one (whenever that comes!)
Hi All,
I order a White RWD M3 18' aero bog standard nothing changed on 14th Feb. I got a text today saying to download the app (which I already had) and that my exact delivery date would be update shortly. I logged into my account and it's moved on to "We are drafting up your invoice for final payment". Does this mean I need to get a move on with organising finance or do I still have a good bit to wait? Seems to be going very quickly
I was in Tesla today test driving an M3 again ( because why not eh), I told the guy that i have a delivery date of April/May and he said I may get one allocated to me in the next batch since it's bog standard and there's a good few on the way. Very confused now
Edited: Just to add this is in the source code.. apparently it means something positive? isNotMatchedToRa00Vin":false
That’s interesting. I was thinking I hadn’t seen anyone else with induction wheels and RWD confirming delivery date.
Whats funny is the Tesla rep when ordering said anything other than bog standard spec would be more likely for this delivery window.
Hey Robbie - I would definitely start looking into financing. Personally, I just went with the Tesla HP option as the APR was very competitive at 5.8%, the same as my bank (BOI) offered, but a bit more hassle doing it that way. As I understand, you can pay off extra, whenever you have a few bob, on your loan directly through your Tesla account when you have the financing through them. The Tesla finance through Finance Ireland took 2 minutes to apply for and 10 minutes to get the approval, so very smooth.
I also went for a second test drive of the MY today, and the chap I spoke to said that the final invoice will be issued around a week before the delivery date. And that I will sign my loan agreement with Finance Ireland when collecting the car as part of the delivery.
Thanks Aurora! The dealer we bought our current EV has agreed to buy it back (it's 3 years Old VW E-Golf) and we're going with AIB for financing the rest ( Green Loan). We went with AIB for our current EV and paid it off early which was handy :)
Try other credit unions as many of them are currently very competitive especially for EV’s. e.g. Athenry 3.8%, Bleesington 4.06%, 4.95% in Baltinglass and Kilcloon(Kildare). Sligo 5.12%. Claddagh(Galway) 5.0%.
RWD
Exact same order from me but made on 23rd Jan. Maybe we just picked an unlucky combination?
Or maybe just their local or workplace credit union unless they have a connection to another one?
I'd try whatever AIB branch DJ Carey had his loan with; they seem very willing to negotiate.
Some offer loans to non members but this would be in the minority
Just looked up two of the ones you have listed and both require you to become or already be a member in order to avail of a loan.
Blessington is very clear: "Remember - only members are eligible to receive loans from your credit union".
Which CUs offer competitive car loans to non members?
LifeCU offers loans to non members but normal car loan rate is 6.43%. Might be worth asking if they do a special Green/EV rate.
CU Membership is not confined to living in the area, they generally accept people who work in the area or have relatives that live in the area that are members. It could be worth a bit of leg work rather than just signing up at nearly 6% for a more convenient but poor value option.
That's what I said above though - living or working in their area.
Looked at LifeCU (Kildare) out of interest and it appears to me that offering loans to non-members really means offering loans to people who are not yet members. They say "You can apply online even if you are not already a member".
Time to dig out the family tree to check for relatives in Athenry that might be CU members.
That's it. So maybe Just simpler to advise people to check out the rate in their local CU or one they have a connection with.
New Model 3 rwd with sport wheels in inventory now
Did i just imagine there was a new M3 RWD white in inventory for €46k 15 mins ago but has now disappeared ?
im still looking at the MY AWD MSM in inventory for €60k.
Have a AWD due sometime in Q2 but in white for €54k .
(Most of )my brain is telling me its not worth paying €6k extra for the MSM colour and be sensible and wait for white AWD in Q2
But there still a small part of my brain saying “you want it ,go get it, you want it, go get it….” :(
It didn't hang around
It wouldn’t make any sense to pay €6K extra but “sometime in Q2” could turn out to be a bit later and be at a loss to some or all of the €5K grant.
Lots of inventory stock unregistered in the UK that would be grant qualifying here. Seems crazy that they can’t just load up a few transporters and get them sold here.
Anyone know if inventory stock of MY is current spec, parcel shelf , no parking sensors etc
That happens ever quarter in UK always plenty of inventory stock.
