Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
Will be next year, panels generally run for 2 years
I had my interview on January 30th, I will be surprised if we don’t hear today or tomorrow. I was told two weeks and it’s been two and a half now. The last few batches got their results after 14-17 days
Brilliant thanks. I ended up emailing PAS and they said if all goes well it should be this week.
Results are out. I'm shocked to have made it through🤣
Me too. Just.
Well done people. What batch are you in?
Passed and did way better than I thought, delighted now. Best of luck to everyone receiving results today
I'm Batch 7
Dublin open batch 7 results out - I got through 🤗🎉🥳🎊
Congrats to those who got through!
Does anyone know how many are in each batch?
Thank you
Check up at the top, it'll tell you what batch you're in :)
I passed and got through to the next round. Very happy.
Batch 7.
Hi,
Could someone please explain the Batch and OOM system to me? Bit confused by it and couldn't find explanation online. Is it the case that if I am say OOM 80 in Batch Seven, that means everyone who passed in the preceding 6 Batches has to be offered a place plus the 79 in my own batch, before I am offered a place? Any idea how deep they normally recruit for these things, how many places are given per batch, how many filled, etc.
Thanks.
Yep! Ooms are unique to batches, and each batch is exhausted before moving onto the next one. You have it exactly.
You'll be offered pretty soon! I've asked a few friends, and they told me to expect before Summer with how quick it's moving and I'm not far behind you :)
How many are in each batch? I wonder what the pass rate is for each batch.
Thanks for the answer. Ah, that wasn't my actual number, so I may well be behind you! Great, can relax now! Was worried it would be a panel that was never filled.
Ah! No problem! Nah we're at the stage of the panels that we're pretty high up, and most likely will be gotten to pretty soon. If you go 1k applicants more, I'd start to wonder and worry. But we've over a year to be offered something, but there seems to be plenty of retirements and movement to open places up. Alot of people start Dublin and use Mobility to get home closer.
Coupled with the fact that they've move on to more interviews, there's obviously some sort of demand or foresight for it all.
I placed in the 140s on the open and in the 60's in interdepartmental. I'm expecting it to be a couple of months before I'm placed but I suppose you just never know.
Edit: my subsequent comment was irrelevant as it seems batch sizes vary a lot. This is my attempt to delete it.
I was Batch 3 Number 1. Been placed in Education as of 4 minutes ago! Delighted!
Has anyone been called for an interview in the open competition in Sligo or Leitrim yet?
Congrats!! In Westmeath? What date did you interview?
For those in Batch 7 that passed their interview I contacted PAS and they said they had called batches 1-6 to clearance already, so will shortly commence the pre-employment checks for candidates in batch 7.
For Offaly. I interviewed on January 11th.
Hi everyone does anyone know what Batch they are at in Dublin that have been offered jobs already? I seen some people were giving preference forms is this for the location or the department they may wish to work in.
It's usually the location
Thanks 😊 been on mobility for a while to try move out of the location i'm in so maybe this might help. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long in Batch 7
@chillmad I got my placement today too absolutely delighted. I was just behind you in the OOM. Absolutely delighted. Hopefully the section won’t take too long to contact us with start dates :)
Congratulations!!!
