Just got the delivey appointment too. 21st march. Glad because I'm leaving for a month on the 24th!
I wasn't offered that rate from An Post so ended up going with Tesla (Finance Ireland) but as I applied prior to the rate increase I have it at 5.9%
I don't care too much about owning the car as it'll be traded in again in 12/18 months.
Just got an email with collection dates for between 21st and 25th March! Pick a time that suits. Ordered in Jan
7.5% seems to be the lowest I can get from an post for some reason.
21 march collection date now just need seai form so I can sign it.

Just as well you didn’t buy a BMW. Those were supposed to be 2022, now some are 2024 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, selected the 25th as only date that suited that week. Real pain the backside as sold my own car at the end of last month thinking it would be early March at the latest.
I think we got lucky there in terms of when we applied and got approval. If you were to apply now you wouldn't get the 5.9%.

Yep, just checked it's gone up to 7.5 % there now unfortunately.
I haven't had any updates since I ordered (M3 LR), but I still have "Estimated delivery: Feb - Mar 2023".
I'm not feeling hopeful 😪

So you are taking the RWD and not waiting on the LR
Well remembered 🙂. The last time I was up annoying the poor lads in Sandyford, both guys there were very confident of a Q2 shipment. That was quite different to a month ago when they were advising me to not change our original RWD order, because there might only be a Q1 and Q3 shipment. I'll keep the RWD option open up to the point of payment (hopefully as long as early-mid March) and I'll check with Sandyford again to see if they're still as confident about a Q2 delivery. If they are, then I'll twist, and some other lucky soul will match the RWD.
You'd never think of taking the RWD and selling it on whenever the LR comes in Q2/Q3... surely there would be queue of people happy enough to pay you cost? Given grant changes and waiting list for Y?
Do you just go and pay now or will they contact you to send it to them.
I had been considering that as an option. There are a couple of risks/downsides to that strategy for us.
For the first purchase, we're cash buyers and can sell our existing car (one car family) in our own time after getting the Tesla. If we buy the RWD first and then want to buy the LR, we'd either first have to sell the RWD before picking up the LR, or arrange finance for the LR purchase.
Another risk is that although most people expect the grant to reduce after Q2, that may not happen, or it might be less than a 50% reduction. Unlikely, but there isn't any certainty there.
Finally, most people considering buying a new MY will probably get their order placed in time for a Q2 delivery. So there may not be as much demand for a 3 month old MY in May/June as one would hope.
Are you looking at green rate or standard vehicle rate? Because the latter had the 5.9% but the former a much higher rate.
Scratch that, I see it's gone up.
I only applied this Monday. Pushed hard to get the funds quickly as I didn't want another 6.9% HP payment coming out this month.
