So had a look at the Tesla finance options, would probably go the HP route over five years plus down payment. The only drawback there is not owning the car straight away the way you would if you took out a loan to fill out the rest of the order. An post seems one of the better options. Still on the fence and will do some thinking tonight :)
I ordered on 18Jan and I was given Feb/Mar ....No more communication from Tesla and no VIN

If you ordered a white/black grant-qualifying MYLR, then according to Tesla Sandyford, it won't be on the first boat. There weren't any of that spec loaded. We're waiting on the next boat (ordered 09:15 Jan 13 :) More than likely sometime in Q2, but a very slim chance there will be another at the end of Q1.
You can see from their inventory the specs of the MYLRs that are on the ship. All above €60k spec.

This is showing up for me on both RWD MY orders. One ordered oct and amended day of price change, the other ordered late jan and amended last week. Earlier order showing Feb-Mar EDD and later order showing Apr-May.
I have a scheduled collection with no VIN, hidden or otherwise. I did have one for about 24hrs but it disappeared again! Tesla confirmed I do have a car though.
I ordered a black MYRWD and still have the generic Feb-Mar date with no VIN or contact from Tesla. Any chance it's on the first boat?
But how do you insure it without a VIN?
Don't have the car yet so will worry about that later!
When do you pay for the car?
Don’t need a VIN for insurance, I didn’t get a reg until 48hours before collection in September but was already able to insure prior to that temporarily and then finalised when I got the reg
Generally 7-10 days prior to collection but you can do it further in advance if it suits you

I think it just for Americans so we are grand.
There's a chance but it's diminishing in my opinion. Tesla told me that when they ship a batch, they put enough cars of a certain spec in the batch to meet the orders up to that point and then the additional cars they put in the batch will be of similar spec to what was ordered. So the additional RWDs cars on the first boat that could be matched against recent orders will in all likelihood be of a spec that was grant eligible before the price reduction.
So there won't be (m)any blue with white interior for example coz that would have been over 60k in 2022. I can't remember though if black put the RWD over the grant threshold, I know red did.
I agree, chance gets less and less. At this stage I'd like the date to be updated to a more realistic range so I can plan for it. By the way black was no additional charge on the Y so no effect on grant.

There is a white M3 RWD with sport alloys available in new inventory at the moment if anyone without delivery confirmed wants nab it.
By the time you get to collect the car you’ll have a vin and reg.

Got that message on Thursday (have a VIN - ordered Nov) but haven't heard anything since. Expecting the email with delivery date options soon.

Got that last Thursday as well. And the signed the SEAI grant on Monday, so hoping to get a delivery date very soon.
Grant was applied this morning.. hella fast 😆.... 1 day.. must be a record
