They have a couple of big sets (for their age group) but they don't have the attention span tbh. I love the creator range as you get 3 builds in one box. The youngest will do one build at breakfast ,come home from creche break it up, do another have dinner, break it up and do the third option....as silent as a mouse...now a little help will be needed along the way. It's brilliant keeps them busy, and motor skills and "engineering" skills are developing.
The dad is pretty "regimental" and you have to follow instructions 😂 so I got them some classic (or as I call it imagination Lego) so they can free build without himself having a coronary 😂🤣🤣
They also got the pokemon mega construx sets for Christmas, getting them tidied today was the priority as the pieces are close but not the same as Lego so didn't want them mixed up. I can see everything else getting fired out of sight tomorrow though.

Sipping a small beer as a reward for a fruitful day. Been to doctor , twice . Once for drugs. 2nd time for licence stuff as I’m on a 3 year one so I’m legal now . ( I think ) Then went to the shop I got chatting to a woman through a mutual friend who I last saw 35 years ago. I wouldn’t have recognised her in a million years. Only downer is I forgot what I went to the shop for 😷
Keep them at it and encourage it. I grew up on Lego. Your post was such a nice description of kids enjoying it an developing as a result.

I always wanted Lego but it was never bought as "not appropriate for girls" I blame the mother as she had the final say on these things ...the price obviously wouldn't have helped either.
Spent the day sorting it....one of the big "Jurassic world" sets was loose in an Ikea plastic box , that took ages to sort the pieces out.
There's still a couple of boxes (the actual Lego box) with loose Lego (It goes into freezer bags then box) so that's an indication the kids tidied it away, but they can stay like that for now... hopefully when I bag them the biscuit tin of loose pieces will also empty...... anyway the dining room table is now cleared for visitors, so that mission is accomplished.
