When the same evil that is being visited on Ukrainian civilians is being suffered by Russian civilians, then I'll have sympathy for them too! No problem. When Russian infrastructure is destroyed in the middle of winter, same as Ukraine's was. When the Russian hospitals are not able to function, when Russian women and men are being raped and murdered, same as Ukraine's, when Russian children are being mass kidnapped. Yes, believe me, I will have the same sympathy for them as I do for Ukrainians. But until then, sorry, all of my sympathy is reserved for those who deserve it, the Ukrainians.

The think is that Russia is finding it harder and harder to keep light artillery at the front. If a single Rissian tank attacked a couple squads ,(12-16 troops) it probably safe to say they would probably have a couple of LAWs rockets. Now those LAWs would be very effective against a Russian tank ( I think we can accept that). They might even have a Javelin which would definitely stop the Russian tank in tracks.
The Russian RPG will only glance off any upgraded T72/90's and Bradley's are fairly immune. The Russian ATM are two man operated and have to be guided onto the target not fire and forget systems.
Therefore the UA may be gambling at times that the Russian have no ATM's available at squad/ platoon level which is not the case with the UA
It's funny you should mention this. We always hear of people scoffing at Russian "Soviet Era" weapons. Isn't the B-52 a "Soviet Era" aircraft? The F-16, F-111, the Harrier Jet? The A-10, the M-16......the GAS-MASK?
