sorry i don't follow most of that. I was just pointing out that a small north facing garden will be a struggle to get a decent lawn in so thats probably why they put astro turf down.
Moss?
Baby's Tears/Mind-your-own-business?
There are alternatives to grass that aren't plastic. (Although I understand why a developer would use Astroturf)
hence the plastic carpet out back
Could they not have made a bit of an effort with symmetry for the frontage? Those windows would put my OCD into overdrive!
North facing aswell, sad.
What planning inspection, this is modern Ireland. Back before the 90s the council would come out a couple of times to inspect the work. My neighbors got planning permission to build a two story extension (another house) over all their back garden. When the other neighbors realized they appealed to An Board Pleanala, it breached multiple council rules. But as no one initially complained, the CoCo approved it.
What planning doing?
Why would something like this be approved?
Look at picture 29. The dormer window is inches away from the neighbours gable wall.
The Irish Times would say that this was built on an ‘infill site in the heart of the village’. It’s the former yard behind a shop.
’Gated development’. Is it a gated development to put 2 houses behind a gate that was already there?
Only a semi-d as well, and pretty ugly lets face it. The country has gone mad.
A million for a terraced dormer with tiny garden. My God.
‘For your million euro and your convenience we have covered the rear garden in, essentially, a green plastic carpet that will look awful with a few years and cost a fortune to replace. It has the added benefit eradicating whatever chance there was of insect life in this small space.’
Look at the neighbours view. You open the window and you can touch the house behind you. I hope they are not looking for close to a million for that one.
1m for a new build in skerries? seems pretty toppy

Property boundaries seem bizarre. I suppose you’d have to walk it for it to make sense.
This could be stunning if renovated properly.
Anyway back on topic that Sligo house looks like it was done up recently. Cost of building materials have gone through the roof like everything else. But saying that they will still be making a decent profit from the sale even when when taking into account the building materials and cost of trades people(well unless they done the work themselves).
I was a little pre-occupied to get any joke.
..
It isn't. I was taking the piss, it's the lens they use to make it look bigger
Is it actually curved, though?
Or is it just some desperate lens-trickery to make it appear (relatively) bigger?
I doubt the rad is curved, and it looks pretty flush to the wall.
You do get a very unusual curved wall with it though. That's gotta be worth at least 50k
have they changed with the house much in the 2 years?
Ireland is thriving on greed for the last 20 years.
This house was sold for 140k in 2021 I think 395k is ridiculous money given its a BER c3 with electric heating
That's more per square foot than a multimillion dollar Manhattan penthouse lol
So bad it deserves a second shaming. Euro for euro a contender for most shocking I’ve seen on here.
That was just posted a few days ago in the thread and well discussed here too.
Look at that kitchen for all of 12,500 per square metre...
Does it include the "barn find" in pic 22?. 😂
