Any idea what free goodies we may fetch this time if we order it pre-launch?

There's deffo not a lot of improvements. More like a facelift model :)
S21 to s22 was a big one for me (brand new screen/concept).
Oh no, i ordered the green for a change, always had the phantom blacks for the 21 and the 22 :(

After the VF cancelling fiasco I managed to have one delivered straight to my house this evening in person from an Adverts shop. 512gb model €1199 sealed, cheaper than VF in the end. Settting it up the last 2 hours... stunning.
Did you get Samsung warranty with it?

I think this device is what the S22U should have been. And feels like a solid keeper. Will last a good few years.

Mine landed today all set up very happy with it, coming from the s21 256g version. Alot of playing around to get use to the ultra
Lovely phone and a nice upgrade on the s21U even if mostly under the hood changes. Processor, battery and build quality all top notch.
The boxier feel actually suits it more for some reason than the rounder s21u.
What screen Resolution is everyone using? I'm using WQHD+ at the moment as the battery seems so good I didn't feel the need to go to FHD which I usually do to save battery.
Mine arrived yesterday morning. Sadly I'm out of the country till Wednesday evening. Can't wait to try it out. Got a good deal with Samsung by trading in my s22 ultra. Its a business phone so comes is around €600 after trade in and vat refund. I also get 6 months Disney Plus so this brings the cost to me down to about €550
I'm looking for help. I did the Smart Switch from my S22 Ultra to my S23 Ultra.
Does anyone have an idea how to transfer the WhatsApp media with the groups? A lot of the photos in one group in particular gives me the message that the media file doesn't exist on my internal storage.
I'm wondering am l missing something?
WhatsApp should have it's own restore function just back it up on the old phone first then sign into the new one and restore.
Jones The Smart Switch copied the WhatsApp over. It's not like l have done it in the past where l had to put in my sim and do the restore myself.
Yeah, WhatsApp gets copied over but stuff is still arriving to the old phone. Strange. You still have to sort it manually.
P.s. Samsung UK is playing tricks on us. Now they're offering additional 150£ off. A few days ago it was 100£ :D Not applicable to IE of course
Lol I forgot all about the res, was using fhd. Just bumped it up .
Not that I'll notice the difference but sure let's see.
Best practice is to first. Do backup your what's app using settings chat backup within WhatsApp.
Then to the smartwitch transfer via cable making sure both smartswitch apps on both phones are up to date.
Finally open what's app when transfer is done on new device it should be signed in already and good to go.
Once happy remove off old device.
Mine worked this way.
Before factory resetting please ensure you move over anything in Google authenticator or and auth apps you use and any password management too.
In fairness, Irish customers have had access to numerous 10% off codes since it went to pre order. Roughly works out at a similar discount.
Tempted to pull the trigger tonight, have my S22+ in with CEX to get checked over before selling and I've messed around with an S23 Ultra in the Eir store earlier today... it barely fits into my jeans pocket 😂. Feels much lighter than i expected thpugh!
Did you put the sim card to the new phone prior to starting the Smart Switch app?

I had not. It did ask for it though during. So swapped over. Had both set for WiFi. So you can take it out and put it in the new device before start should have no material impact .
Have galaxy watch 5. Didn't want the pro as seen no real difference in it for my use case. Excellent devices pro/5
But the bullet and ordered it. 678 all in. Not too bad. So will be switching away from iphone after all.
I got same deal. But upped from S22U to S23U
It's such a nice device to hold. Take the cover off it when at home. There's plastic stickers on either side protecting the frame remove them. Why let the next person get full use out of it.
Alarm didn't go off on my phone this morning the new phone didn't want me to get up for work obviously 😂.
Phone switched itself off for some reason no idea why. When I turned it back on the apps where optimising for few seconds. Update of some kind?
Also how the feck do u get rid of the Samsung Gallery app? I had it disabled before but app I used isn't working now.

I have a 10% off code, i have an iphone 13 pro max to trade (trade value is more of less what its worth on adverts sans the hassle!) is there any other money saving trick, ideally id like to get the buds as well, i see something about trading old ear phones on? can it be any set of ear phones?

Try to sell iPhone to swappie or cex to see how much they are offering.
For instance, if Samsung is offering you 500 for iPhone, but swappie/cex are offering 450, still go with CEX because Samsung is offering 175€ for broken earphones. So basically, you would get more with trade-in broken earphones + straight iPhone sale to cex/swappie/adverts
I think it's any earphones. I haven't seen anything that restricts it. For broken headphones, you can get 175€ against the device and an additional 25€ against new buds (if you go with the buds as well). Of course, you need two pairs of headphones then. I'll trade in some of the old Samsung earphones that you would have received with their phones back in time when they were shipping them with the phone
you can also pay with revolut "shops" and get 2-3% back
I traded in s21 ultra 128gb and got the s23u for roughly 647€ after doing a bit of financial wizardry :D
