@unkel do you have a delivery date for your october rwd or is it still a range of time?
Interesting item on my account. I signed the SEAI application electronically, then this morning got a pop up notification in the account (but not in my email) of an Order Update
"Tesla Vision
We are taking the next step in Tesla Vision. Your vehicle now fully relies on camera vision to measure distance to nearby objects, deliver active safety features and provide autopilot and Full-Self Driving capability (if purchased). This new approach enables improved visibility, better object detection, and greater abilities for Autopilot in the future. With this move, your Model Y is no longer equipped with ultrasonic sensors, which will temporarily impact some features

Basically, you must consciously accept that USS isn't a reason for order cancellation.
Yes Tesla have taken USS away from model Y ( and maybe other vehicles too). All part of chip shortage, no matter what they say about camera syaytem being better.
Am I right in saying that Tesla Vision is not actually up and running? So what they mean by " temporarily impact some features" . means there are no vision/sensors for vehicle until updated at unknown date. Just rear camera with no "beeps".
Same here, signed off the USS disclamer. Also test drove the MY RWD in Cork today. Parking w/o sensors is fun especially with the monstrous 12.2m turning circle of MY. Took me 4 attempts to reverse into a narrow parking space in the car park. This would take 1 attempt in nimble ID. 3. I'll get over it, the rest of the experience was fab.
Tesla vision is not up and running, given their failed promises on other software upgrades who know when it will be working, this year, next year?
Got this too, I have previously emailed Tesla saying I won't accept a car without functioning park assist from Day 1 so I am not accepting this change and lets just see how far I get with Tesla before they come back to me. I have no faith in TV being workable anywhere near the short term, none.
This article suggests it might be soon...

What response exactly are you expecting? They made this change globally to their manufacturing. Are you expecting them to put USS on slave1's car and nobody else's? 😀
This is a done deal. All the cars en-route will have no USS. It's a take it or leave it situation I'd say.
No expectations of just my Y and noone elses getting USS. My expectation is for Tesla to come back to me to ask me am I proceeding with my purchase. They originally told me on email (immediately after my order last year) that they would come back to me directly with an email once VIN assigned.
It is take it or leave it, I'll leave it or maybe flip, I haven't made up my mind on it yet and I know for certain there are folk cancelling due to lack of USS.
In fairness guys, parking sensors and cameras are popular for a reason. Especially in large, family cars. I know my lot wait til I'm driving backwards, or pulling out of a junction , to start asking questions or fighting 😆.
Yes it's just something to be " put up with" for the short term. But only short term. It's a significant backwards step in spec. For stuff that all drivers will use every time they drive.
Maybe get rid of the kids might be safer option than waiting for TV 😉
Hey guys - Aussie poster here awaiting MYP delivery in Melbourne in next 2-3 weeks. No one here will confirm if MIC MYPs come with Comfort Suspension. Given you guys also receive from Giga Shanghai, has Ireland Tesla had any confirmation of this? So frustrating.
Anyone here getting mud flaps? Any opinions on it? On some yt videos they seem to really recommended them to protect the paint/prevent potential dents...
Have checked Amazon and AliExpress, they're about 30€ only but there's a few comments on the ones I've found implying they don't all fit in model y or latest model y? But don't see how 2021/2022 model y mud flaps wouldn't fit 2023?
Welcome to the forum Chambo. I understood that the RWD and LR are getting new comfort suspension but Performance comes with older firmer suspension. Perhaps somebody else can confirm on here.
I gets the same as always according to this.
I got these one's, will let you know in a few weeks what they fit like. They seem durable enough anyway...

Thank you, those are the ones i had shortlisted myself too!
I'll probably just order them so! :)
Apparently about 5% range hit and I don't think they help keeping the back of the car clean, just the sides.
5% is a LOT.
I'll research this better, if 5% I'd say I'll probably stay away.
I saw this video instead where guy says it's only about 1,4%, but it's not the most scientific test...

Still a range:
Estimated Delivery: February 22 - March 09
That's from 5 months ago and is now outdated.
All Model Y made world wide (so in Freemont, Shanghai and Berlin) in the last month or two have comfort suspension. So this includes the Model Y performance. I have posted links to this before in this thread.
Good news for us in the south👍
Yes it had been reported the opening was imminent. Good news for people in the south / west! The one in Sandyford is far too small now and I don't think there's room to expand significantly. Maybe they should relocate.
Good to see Tesla investing in Ireland. Will hopefully point to further SC roll out.
Has anyone been given a date for collection?
Nothing yet apart from a text to say it would be soon. Estimate still showing as Feb 23rd to March 10th
Ya, last Friday got date / time. March 14th, 3.30. I had a few options but that suited best.
Good for you, it won't be long in coming around but I bet it feels like ages away!
Is your VIN showing as onboard the Hoegh Chiba!
Would you mind sharing what colour/spec and when you placed the reservation.
Anyone got the email address for Tesla Service Dublin.
Try this, it's from the UK and Ireland wiki page on the tesla motors club (tmc) site.
